Have you ever played Tetris?

Post by DoomYoshi »

What's your favorite piece?

Most people probably will instinctively say the I but that really isn't a fair answer.
The T used to be my favorite but the Tetris Company totally ruined it for me when they made T-spins worth more than Tetrises. The owners of that company should all be hanged in Times Square.
The S or Z are now my favorite, but I prefer the Z since I build left-to-right and it fits in better.
The L and J frustrate me because I always plan on getting one and then never do and then die.
The O would be the best if you could only get one piece for the whole game, that would be the most interesting one.

Did you know that the same terrorists who ruined the gameplay also mandate that the pieces can't be random? That's right, in any run of 49 pieces you will always have 4 of each. Absolute rubbish.

I hate s and z. Terrible choice, buddy. L and J are much better.

If you only played with S pieces you could never complete a line. How is L or J better than that?

You can complete lines with nothing but L or J pieces.

This is worth listening to the full soundtrack if you have the time. This is off the wall.

Here's another version:

Yeah you can, you'd just have two voids on your first row.

Also L/J are best, I always found 3 line combos finished by a L/J to be the most satisfying, more so than the 4 line.

I like the straight pieces, nice and satisfying to tetris. Ive never met anyone in real life who can actually T-spin consistently. I think on a logical level, they should be worth more, since they are alot harder to pull off. Its like the only move in the game that requires good timing.
