This is the Olympic edition of the Power Rankings.

Pakistan has won gold at 3 Olympics all times in Field Hockey (Rome 1960, Mexico City 1968 and Los Angeles 1974). They have won 7 other medals in various disciplines. This year they are sending only a few athletes in Judo, Swimming, Shooting and Athletics.

Georgia is a powerhouse Olympic country for its size. It has won 25 medals and brings several competitors this year.

Yemen has never won a medal and this year is bringing one Judoka, one swimmer, two runners.

Sri Lanka has won in athletics twice (London 1948 and Sydney 2000). This year they are competing in Badminton, Judo, Swimming, Athletics, Shooting and Weightlifting!

Antigua and Barbuda have never won a medal. This year they are bringing 9 athletes, 8 athletics and 1 swimmer.

There were no September rankings. October is food month. That means you need to try to eat foods from countries near the top of the list and avoid food from countries near the bottom of the list.

Here are some notes on how to cook like a Comorian:

A typical Comoros meal should always contain rice and meat, seasoned with one of the many locally produced ingredients like vanilla, coriander, cardamom, cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg. Also very famous in this country are fish dishes like the one called “Langouste a la vanille” a very rich dish made with lobster boiled in vanilla sauce. Anyone who wants to try a very stodgy dish can always have a stew made with all kind of Indian ingredients and vegetables like curries, chapattis, Lentil soups and a large variety of pickles. On this island there can be easily found and used in cooking any dish all kind of exotic ingredients and fruits like peppers, maize, chiles, tomatoes, bananas, pineapples, limes and oranges.

Here are a few other items that will come handy while cooking Comoros food: juicers, kitchen knives, kitchen slicers, kitchen thermometers, measuring cups & measuring spoons, miscellaneous utensils, mixing bowls and skimmers & strainers

What can I say? Islands are the "in" thing right now. Buying them, owning them, being them or building them. However you them, you've got a whole lotta lovin to show for it.
