Other: Throughout the game, thf182 (Blue) has continually whinged about getting no cards in this 'NO SPOILS' game. I, for the most part, have ignored him, seeing clearly he was just doing it as a wind up. (I suspect having played 2840 games, he probably knows.) One or two others have either fallen for it at times, or just humoured him.

Until now, I was prepared to tolerate and ignore his childishness but he has now taken it to another level. In the most recent chat, he has lied (bold below), saying that I have been PM'ing him, pressuring him to do whatever he's doing.

I don't know if there are any rules about doing what he's doing but, for me, that crosses a line. Stupidly joking is one thing but smearing someone's reputation with outright lies is another. Is there anything that can be done?

Wouldn't you agree that part of the game is to spread misinformation anyways? He's obviously benefiting it some form or another. If he's getting into your head, then he accomplished exactly what he was aiming to do. Whether or not that works out for him in the long run has yet to be seen.

No. In this case, m1ndgames is making a good point. The concern is less about m1ndgames' reputation, per se, and more about the fact that tfh182 is potentially framing him for a C&A violation. In theory, another player/third party could bring an SD accusation against m1ndgames and then use thf182's fraudulent game chat as evidence!
This case isn't just about silly insults and namecalling (unlike that n-word that owen always gets ruffled about...) this is actually libelous.

i'm sorry, i must have missed the part where a rule was violated. there is no rule concerning game chat and mis-information. throw in the added hilarity of the users name and this all adds up to nothing... perhaps you could find an old post concerning a similar matter in which the accused was punished, then you'd have a defense. we all know how good you are at digging up old threads, Thor, help this guy out... guess what, none exist, because this is not against the rules. this is just like giving false info in a fog game... in team games i have been known to "accidentally" post team chat in the group chat, leaving false plans out there in the wind... people do it!! it is a tactic!!
