Just a query on name policy... if there is one. [TFO]
Accused:
Hiler88Hitler88
Just came across this new player in 'game finder'. Wasn't sure if there was any policy to do with names and if there was, whether this breached it?
Aside from that, is it just me, but isn't it odd that a new player would go to set up a new game rather than join any other? It's the only (potential) game he has.

Why is that odd?m1ndgames wrote:isn't it odd that a new player would go to set up a new game rather than join any other?
I think it's odd that you have misread 'C&A' as 'Q&A'.

The only odd thing is that mrswdk hasn't invited our blood and soil friend here to a nice one on one match.

Or he didn't know how to spell herr.
Nevertheless, i know how this whole thread will go again... and yes, it is very very offensive for a european to use that kind of username... like you guys wouldn't accept someone to use the N word for username.

Speak for yourself. I'm European and I think Hitler's funny.
Maybe as a compromise we could say that people should only call him Hitla?

88 might be a reference to a German gun.

H is the eighth letter of the alphabet. So 88 = HH.

Considering the account hasn't been here since his first day, I'm going to mark this closed.

The real question is how a freemie is capable of reserving spots in a game and how he is capable of reserving an email address instead of a username. The new player experience sure has changed a lot recently.

Being able to invite people by their email address was introduced quite a few years ago. It's meant to enable people to introduce their non-member friends into the game.DoomYoshi wrote:The real question is how a freemie is capable of reserving spots in a game and how he is capable of reserving an email address instead of a username. Not sure why freemies are able to. Probably because the promotional value was deemed to be worth it.

Free players have been able to invite by email address for years too. Nothing new here, just some ignorance.Dukasaur wrote:Being able to invite people by their email address was introduced quite a few years ago. Apologies for not coming back. I've been mad busy and got waylaid.TheForgivenOne wrote:Considering the account hasn't been here since his first day, I'm going to mark this closed.
If it's closed, no worries. I was just checking. To some of us, the use of the name is offensive. The 88, for those who don't know, is the number used by present-day supporters of his (in gang, group names etc) as, as someone has pointed out, they signify the 8th letter of the alphabet.

I'm sorry, I thought a 'Cheating and Abuse' Forum would be just the place to raise an abuse of the system. Silly me.mrswdk wrote:Why is that odd?m1ndgames wrote:isn't it odd that a new player would go to set up a new game rather than join any other?
