I don't really have any strong feelings toward this issue one way or the other, but I think it can be pretty easily said that if you're on the same side as that xtra dude, you should probably re-examine your stance. That guy is either a really terrible troll, or genuinely a piece of shit.

I just think xtra didn't break, or even come close to breaking, any rules and it's bogus to ban him on account of a small handful of people saying they don't like the things he says.

If we're banning people who hurt others' feels then we might as well ban everyone who's ever posted about politics or religion in OT. I mean, in GD someone recently dug up an online review of CC where the reviewer says that CC has horrible message boards plagued by arguments about politics and religion. Seems like OT has a more demonstrable negative impact upon the likelihood of newbies joining the site than Trash Can ever will (given Trash Can is hidden to non-users).
