Also, the wiretapper claim is extremely suspicious indeed. That's a scum role. Town have cops.

Out of deference to strike and anyone else who wants to wait until later tonight, I'll hold off the actual vote.

But didn't he backtrack on Tobi?

You know how this sounds to me... 10 hours left and Pershy at L-1 and you unvotes him and that's the only wagon which can be completed and only which can give some information. But you unvote like you're asking for someone to vote for Pershy and you will hammer because you've already set an action in place. FOS

Isn't he at L-2? Or was before Mets vote? My vote wasn't on Pershy and hasn't been since I replaced into the game.

You could at least go over the argument about me not suggesting Pershy's action be dictated onto one person. Though I find that unreasonable as we'd still have to trust that person to be a truthful person and frankly still doesn't prove Pershy's alignment.

Honestly, it probably doesn't matter much. I don't have a specific direction for extending the day other than reading back through a couple things (So far has not borne fruit) and giving myself a moment to kill things over from a different angle before night.

You sound to me like you're scum defending me because you now know you can't kill me so "lets get someone who will trust me" is going on. I'm starting to believe chap/mets was actually a good case.. Let me just add that this is a PROVABLE role! Not some ol BS scum can make up.
You don’t believe me? I’ll tell your your night action result!

you already know my night action? That sounds like a clue. Hopefully someone here knows, might take me awhile to research it myself.

Finger of Suspicion. Acronyms are easier. I'm not going to tell you to stop, but making me go to other pages just to understand you affects my attitude towards you. I'm trying to remain unbiased, for the good of the town.
Seriously I probably won’t make it to D2 so check out Bujabber, Sirius and possibly Tobi if I don’t on D2. I would put them on my suspect list at the moment judging recent events.

If I start attracting votes, I'll deal with it then. I don't expect my grace period to last much longer. I will check out that suspect list. I'll even check out myself, as objectively as possible, to see if I'd vote for someone who writes like me.

I hope I don't need a grace period. But, I certainly appreciate the people who write clearly, give understandable explanations, and otherwise make it easy. I am trying not to let that influence my vote, since being nice and being scummy do not necessarily correlate.

It's slow around here. I'll go try to research Pershy's role, he might live if he agrees to Tobi's plan, and also Dakky's, see if I can find out where he'll be hiding tonight. He said he could protect himself, so I guess he will. The only way to figure him out might be by lynching him. Why is he setting himself up for that?

OK, pershy, at least you claimed. And, as you say, it's provable.
So here's the deal. I'll remove my vote, and you attach to me tonight.
Tomorrow (D2) you tell me what I did on N1. IF you are correct, then I'll accept that you are town, AND
you will know that I am town as well. Of course, if the scum targets either of us, it probably won't work.
Until then, IGMEOY.

UNVOTE

And if scum blocks him, buses him, or something elses him? What then? Do you then lynch Pershy?

I don't know what to make of Pershy's role, but I do think we need a lynch, and I have no issue being the hammer with whatever extra scrutiny that might add. A fair few people have disappeared close to closing time. That's never good. Despite Pershy's claim, I'll maintain that he has acted un-Pershylike in this game. I don't know what claim would have swayed me if any. It still feels...off...

vote Pershy

Hopefully, this is the hammer before closing time.

He seemed pretty on the fence about jfm after his soft claim, which to me is playing it on both sides, so he could point out he didn't wanted jfm dead while still throwing shade at him (see below), role-fished (but I think others on the jfm wagon have engaged in worse role fishing, see below), and His vote on mets looked more like an OMGUS than an actual argument.
chapcrap wrote:jfm's claim came out of nowhere, IMO. It seems REALLY fishy to me. Only part about you. Basically I didn't like how you said jfm is scummy for his soft-claim but should be given a pass. You seemed to position yourself so you could say you pointed out he was scummy or you said you didn't want to vote him, depending on how he flipped. Role-fishing allegations and OMGUS vote against Mets have already been covered by others so I won't restate. You were not the scummiest on my list but I thought you were the most likely lynch candidate at that point which is why I voted you.

@Tobi/pershy Your plan is a terrible one. To prove your role, you'd disclose the result another player got (which is basically outing his role, I assume you'd get something like "(player Y/his target) has been protected/investigated as .../role-blocked"). It might somewhat prove your role if you could tell us who your target visited (but nothing tells you the wording of the PM you'll receive will give that information), but, as mets pointed out, it wouldn't necessarily mean you're town aligned. If somebody belives he is scum, he should vote to lynch him, if someone doesn't believe he is scum, he should have never voted him, because there is no confirming that role apart from a cop claim.
Also, as rage pointed out, someone could interfere with his action with/without him knowing.

Quite a change of stance from the vote you put on him just the previous page

Sirius Kase wrote:It seems like deja vu all over again. Last time I was in a position to put someone to L-1, I backed out and move my vote first to Pershy and then to darin. I didn't think it was fair to leave my vote on someone who just didn't seem scummy enough. I don't think it's wise to get any closer to a lynch when all we wanted was an extension. Pershy woke up so I was uncomfortable voting for him, but darin died at the hands of the moderator.

The extension WAS to get time to get a lynch. When you get someone to claim, you basically have to ask yourself "is he scummy enough to risk losing that role"? That's mostly why jfm was given a pass, because doc is a pretty valuable role, but I'd be surprised if the topic doesn't come back on later days as he hasn't been cleared.

@Pershy - how am I opportunistic?

I was against the jfm wagon since the start despite it being very popular, I was voting mets who had 4 votes but moved to someone with only 1 vote on them at the time (you). I built a case against you instead of just sheeping some existing reasons, and rallied votes against you despite not knowing if it's going to happen or not. I mentioned those whose posted suggested they could be swayed and encouraged them to vote you.

Where's my opportunism other than you wanting to throw a buzzword at me because I am scumreading you?

He'll only vote when he acts like everyone else has convinced him to do so. He didn't do that here. He came back from vacation and immediately voted for jfm10, not just joining the wagon, but taking him to L-1 (pardon the repetition). I tell you, it's atypical pershyness.

@ZaBeast: You are absolutely right and I was wrong to offer my plan...too many things could go wrong. I was influenced by Pershy's sudden change of heart about me, I guess. I still stand by what I said initially (see above) as supported by Ragian's insight. Following through on my offer probably wouldn't have revealed someone else's role, give me some credit, but it would have revealed my role, which could ultimately hurt town. So, I started it, and if it is already ended, then I will piss on his grave.

Town folk gather to investigate the death of their beloved Sailfish.

Fingers are pointed at some, others rant with conspiracy theories.

Attention swings to the one reef dweller that can go about investigating undetected.

"HE MUST KNOW SOMETHING !!"
"WHO ARE YOU PROTECTING?"
"ARE THEY PAYING YOU IN FRESH BLOOD?"
"CORRUPTION !!"
"WE WANT ANSWERS !!"

pershy claims his innocence, "I know nothing, I have incorruptible standards"

The town has OVERWHELMINGLY pointed the finger at the one creature that "should have known" what happened to the Sailfish.
The interrogation continues, but then goes too far, his limp body now rests in the depths below.

show: town wiretapper has been lynched
