NP in other threads: "I am not a racist for saying I think the US should restrict migration from Latin America"
NP in other threads: "I am not a racist, Omar should be sent back to Somalia because she is a refugee"
NP in this thread: "Australians are racist because they think there are too many immigrants moving to Australia"
Stunning self-checkmate.

for some reason you do not..
1) NP in other threads: "I am not a racist for saying I think the US should restrict migration from Latin America" - not racist.. sorry
2) NP in other threads: "I am not a racist, Omar should be sent back to Somalia because she is a refugee" - not racist either.. try again...
3) NP in this thread: "Australians are racist because they think there are too many immigrants moving to Australia" - I didn't say this.. I posted a survey. .and quoted the stats of that survey..
if you are going to quote someone.. use the quote function.. because otherwise you are just making up quotes for people to fit your narrative.. if you are going to constantly try to label me a racist. .you should at least once be able to back-up your claims..
sad sad attempt to label me once again..
all you ever do is fail..
oh.. so you cannot quote me saying any of those things ..mrswdk wrote:If you refuse to critically assess your own actions and words then you will never learn and grow.
Start off small. Try some breathing exercises, and maybe begin keeping a mindfulness journal. Little by little you will see the path to self-betterment and inner peace open up before you.
Since when is a lot of opposition to immigrants not expressed rather racistly? You have anti-Irish sentiment followed by anti-Asian sentiment followed by anti-Hispanic sentiment here in the US, roughly tracking when different races (and yes the Irish and Italians weren't considered to be proper white at the time) roughly tracking when different racial groups immigrated to the US.Jdsizzleslice wrote:The answer to your question is no. But wouldn't you say this is more of an immigration discussion rather than a racist discussion?
I could see these statistics being similar to a poll if it were given in the US.

It probably happens, but to say that opposition to immigration is rooted in racism is inaccurate.spurgistan wrote:Since when is a lot of opposition to immigrants not expressed rather racistly? being Anti-Immigration does not mean you hate a entire race of people. .spurgistan wrote:Since when is a lot of opposition to immigrants not expressed rather racistly? Well, no, it is, for the reasons I just mentioned. People tend to hate whoever's new. I'm not saying one causes the other, but they're clearly related. It's not like Americans were upset about immigration while it was white northern Europeans moving here.Jdsizzleslice wrote:It probably happens, but to say that opposition to immigration is rooted in racism is inaccurate.spurgistan wrote:Since when is a lot of opposition to immigrants not expressed rather racistly? You are making a blanket statement. If you think any opposition to immigration equals racism, then we cannot continue to have a logical discussion. All opposition is not based off the color of one's skin, or the nationality of that person, or etc.Jdsizzleslice wrote:Blanket statements are almost never true. Like saying all Trump supporters are all racists, or all liberals are crazy, etc...
it's because Duk thinks Nations are Races..Jdsizzleslice wrote:Read This Postspurgistan wrote:Well, no, it is, for the reasons I just mentioned. People tend to hate whoever's new. I am opposed to illegal immigration. Does that make me a racist? According to your logic, it does.

In one sense it is an absurd question (as others have pointed out). No population is designed to support a X fold increase in the population at once. In the first place no population has a point of entry that can support the migration of its entire population at once, never mind a large multiple of that population. Second there is no place to house them once they get there, or feed them even.NomadPatriot wrote:I see no one can answer the question posed.
should be a simple question to answer. ..

Nit pick: Anti-immigrant sentiment to Irish and Italians was based, in large part, because they were "Papists." And while technically WASP isn't considered a race, for all practical purposes it was treated as such during the time of Irish immigration and Italian immigration. Note also that many of the Irish came over because of a deliberate attempt by the Protestant United Kingdom to starve the Irish in the great potato famine.spurgistan wrote:Since when is a lot of opposition to immigrants not expressed rather racistly? no problem .. if the amount of people requires you to avoid the question.. oktzor wrote:In one sense it is an absurd question (as others have pointed out). So when you get to the actual non absurd numbers (say 10% of the population) the arguments are still valid but people can easily miss the implications of the numbers, especially when immigration is never a "one shot" situation (and 10 years of 10% quickly becomes ... I'm not going to answer that because people will argue about whether I should use compounding or not).

and its always from the playbook.
1) racists doing racist things
2) racists getting outcalled for doing racist shit
3) racists call in selfdefense everyone else racist (thats what np is trying atm)
4) claiming that the word racist lost its meaning
this is how it works......
