I do try to check out all the candidates in my riding, but it rarely has an impact on my decision. Ultimately we live in a world of party politics, and we vote for a party. A really great candidate or a really awful candidate can change the picture a bit in their riding, but only a bit.2dimes wrote:Am I the only one who tries to find out things about the actual people running in my riding to vote accordingly as long as they are not liberals?

Good stuff. I voted libertarian for most of my life. Just not for me any more.2dimes wrote:Ok, after giving you grief I caved and voted Libertarian. Just waiting for the conservative guy to take it by a landslide in my riding. Say la vee.

I mostly did it because trying to get information about a candidate feels nearly impossible. I considered the PPC guy but was unable hear his pitch. None of the parties like that got a single seat.Dukasaur wrote:Good stuff. I voted libertarian for most of my life.
