Chat Messages appearing in random characters

about the half the messages I see in the chat during a game appear in random characters.

Example below

Does anyone know what is going on and how to resolve it?

These are snapshots from your team of the game board. You can turn them on in your settings called panels if you like

Those characters are just what show up for people who don’t have them turned on to see the snap pictures
