It's unclear to me why interest in this thread appears to have waned.
Is backgammon not still - like skateboarding, and what, I believe, you youngsters call "The Tango" - still "all the rage"? How fleeting fashion is, and how I despair for the youth of today, with their "walkmans" and "longbows" and "the price is right".

A double 2 means that mate can only happen in 7 moves as a minimum, in my calculation of the dice odds. After that, you can start a thread to complain about the dice; that will be thread #102 that complains about dice.

p.s By McHammer I obviously meant the lesser half of the well known half Russian, half Scottish Communtist stand up duo, "McHammer and Sickle".
