Biden just appointed Sam Brinton the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Spent Fuel and Waste Disposition, in which capacity he will be in charge of ensuring nuclear components are safely disposed of in a way that doesn't lead to the destruction of the human species.

This is the outgoing Deputy Assistant Secretary, Dr. William Boyle. Boyle has a Ph.D. in civil engineering from UC Berkeley and was previously head of regulations at the Office of Civilian Radioactive Waste Management.


Replacing him is Sam Brinton. Brinton has a B.A. in Vocal Music Performance from Kansas State and was previously head of advocacy at The Trevor Project, which advocates for LGBTQI youth. He identifies as gender fluid.

Three dozen Republican members of Congress have signed a letter written by former White House physican Admiral Dr. Ronny Jackson calling for President Joe Biden to take a test to determine if he has dementia, The Dallas Morning News is reporting.
