I conjecture that 20-25% of Republican voters, perhaps 15% of all voters, will support Donald Trump for almost ANY reason. That is why we see his poll numbers RISE with each indictment, he has a core group of voters devoted to him NO MATTER what. They are the ones who go out to his rallies and make it SEEM that he has HUGE support nation-wide. What Trump's Big Ego will not allow him to grasp is that this crowd, loud and rabid as they are, are actually a small minority of those in the USA.

Biden up by only 1 point (and in polls that don't include Cornel West!) ... Democrats need to win by two points to overcome structural benefits the GOP enjoys in the Electoral College. If the election were held today, Trump wins.

Beating Trump won't cure Trumpism. DeSantis is Trump Lite, and Ramalama is Trump Heavy. I think they're the two most likely to be chosen if Trump stumbles.
