Every cocksucking promoter is out there flipping houses, and every flip notches it up another 10%, and idiots pay it, because the banks hand out loans near zero.

Tell your boss to double or triple their wage. I assume plow drivers don't earn a lot, so it's possible? That should do the trick.

Tell your boss to double or triple their wage. I assume plow drivers don't earn a lot, so it's possible? That should do the trick.

Unfortunately, Ministry contracts are lowest-bidder contracts, so in order to win a contract to run the highway, you have to bid less than the guy who had it last, so you have to also pay your people less than the guy who had it last.

The contract just changed hands six months ago. Most of these guys were making about $3/hr more under the previous contractor, so the bitterness is still fresh in their minds.

It's not a bad paying job -- between $26 and $32 /hr depending on category. It only seems bad because people remember what the previous guy paid.
