It is structured like the NCAA tournament, with the highest-rated player (#1 seed) having the easiest path to the championship. Rankings are based on your CC score at registration (specifically, the score I see on your profile after you have signed up).

Each player will receive no more than (2) invitations per round. If the 2nd invitation is ignored or declined, that player forfeits, and their would-be opponent advances automatically.
