I agree with Duk on his post here, and I have agreed with him on this BASIC point for a long time, as posted elsewhere in this Forum. MOST, and (in my mind) NEARLY ALL aliens in this country are here for a better life for themselves and their Families. Nearly ALL are hard-working and law abiding. Most such aliens that I have encountered personally, many at my Church, are such good folks who have a great love of Family, too. And they often DO the WORK, the hard physical labor, that many citizens in this country REFUSE to do. They do construction and do work at places, such as meat packing plants, that are the dangerous and physically demanding jobs.
I met one such family, again at my Church, where their 20+ year old son was recently KILLED in a HORRIFIC accident at a nearby construction site. (I had heard a report about this very sad and tragic accident on the local news reports.) When I asked about them, as they helped feed the HUNGRY at my Church, I asked about their FAMILY and that is when I learned the awful and hurtful TRUTH about their young son.
Presumably by Confed's logic, if they're a transgender illegal alien, they're pretty much a nailed-on killer?

I think there are at least three problems here:
1) Too many guns.
2) too many guns in the hands of the CRAZIES, mentally disturbed, mentally troubled, etc.
3) too many guns in the hands of criminals.
4) I might add too many guns in the hands of those who cannot or do not use them properly, such as not properly trained. I think those are few, but MANY guns are used to commit suicide, an under reported (by the Media) problem. I think this is a separate problem from 2). I think these suicides can be mentally troubled, but I think many of these are those facing diseases (terminal diseases, e.g., cancer and the like) but some may be DEPRESSED and are suicidal at the start.

Mother of woman stabbed to death at Fairfax County bus stop calls for change
Authorities say Jalloh has a violent criminal history, with more than 30 prior charges, including allegations of rape and multiple stabbings. (...)
The case will be the focus of an upcoming congressional subcommittee hearing examining why Jalloh was free. Fairfax County’s prosecutor and sheriff were called to testify in Congress next month, News4 learned on Thursday. The Republican-led Judiciary committee is looking to Fairfax County as an example of the dangers of sanctuary policies.
ICE confirmed Jalloh had been living in the country illegally since 2012.
Emails obtained by News4 show Fairfax County police commanders pressed the commonwealth’s attorney’s office to find ways to keep Jalloh behind bars. But the spokesperson said few of the cases could be taken to trial because witnesses didn’t show up to court.
Jalloh has been jailed several times and ICE hasn't deported him. Virginia's governor faulted ICE for not deporting him. Republicans fault Fairfax County for not notifying ICE when Jalloh was in custody.
Cheryl Minter said she sees blame from the top down.
"I can look up public records and know what day he's getting out. Why can't they?” she asked.

Former Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares, the victim’s mother, Cheryl Minter and local officials said failures by prosecutors, Fairfax County policies and federal immigration enforcement allowed the suspect to remain free. They spoke at a Tuesday press conference hosted by The American Border Story in Richmond.
At a State Capitol vigil, Miyares blamed liberal leaders in the Old Dominion, including Fairfax County Commonwealth’s Attorney Steve Descano, for creating the environment that led to the murder of Stephanie Minter of Fredericksburg at a Hybla Valley bus stop.
"A federal judge had issued a final order for his removal six years ago. A detainer was lodged, and Fairfax County refused to honor it. Police warned Steve Descano not once, but twice, writing repeatedly that this man would kill someone. They were right. He was a ticking time bomb, and that time bomb went off, and Stephanie was the casualty," Miyares said, listing other similar cases.(...)
Miyares, now a partner at William Barr’s Torridon Law Firm, said Jalloh has 30 prior arrests and that Fairfax police remain stymied by Descano, who has refused to honor ICE detainers. He also criticized Spanberger for revoking Youngkin-era cooperation between state, local, correctional and federal authorities, arguing the administration is forcing rural departments to follow Fairfax’s lead.
