Trump and Congress gave a trillion dollar tax cut to the top 1%. I didn't know that our billionaire class was a endangered species.

Now let's rip lunches away from the wretched poor children.

Jesus would approve!

From my understanding, the Treasury is flooding the market with cash (inflation) and the Fed is going to fight inflation.

The Federal Budget: Spending, Taxes, and Debt
Let Biden’s COVID Credits Expire

But by all means, let's try to paint this as a purely Biden problem!
I never did; bad conclusion of the evidence. I merely pointed out that the spending desired by our VA Democrat Governor is wasteful and a continuation of OVERLY generous spending of money during the COVID shut down. The COVID threat is OVER and current spending should REFLECT that and not continue crazy wasteful spending.

Trump's spending is NOT Helping the deficit. The war vs. Iran is NOW a waste of money. (The destruction of the Iranian nuclear program MAY BE justified; the evidence is not clear to me that this is the right conclusion.)

Also, the $40 Trillion level to the US Deficit was reached under Trump.

from AI:
The U.S. is projected to pay approximately $1 trillion annually on its national debt. In fiscal year 2026, interest payments are expected to exceed this amount, surpassing total defense spending for the first time in modern history.

As of 2025, the government paid about $970 billion in net interest, which translates to roughly $2.7 billion per day
