ABANDONED Kriegspiel chess team game is there interest? Theres one problem though

I think i could run a team v team game of kriegspiel chess if there is interest?

If you look it up on wikipedia how the game works is described there.

Basically each player/team can only see their own pieces and makes best guesses at opponents.

The way id do it is one forum for all players.
3 chatzy channels.
One for white team
One for black team.
One for me and a joint adjudicator
And i think there is still a chess game on this site where me and joint adjudicator could play the actual board

The problem is all players would have to know there own side of the board and therefore have a chessboard and be au fait with chess notation for this to work???

I would give it a go at hosting if 6, 8 or 10 interested for me to divide into 2 teams based on the interested players estimations of their ability at chess

Actually im abandoning this idea, i think it would need each team to have a chessboard visible and so be able to visualise what if/alternative guessed positions of opponents positions for this to work well enough.

I might check out kriegspiel.org myself to see what that does

I already have set up my chess game - looks fun. Like the old chess games by letter (1 move per letter) on an actual set. Those took years to end but it gave that "connected to a very good friend for years too"

I might try a 1 v 1 game Sonic vs Hjelp at some time in future as he'd expressed interest via PM.

I just don't think a team game works without being able to work things out on 2 sets of whatif chessboards
