I was just wondering who the highest ranked player is that doesn't abuse any of the following:

Team Games with skilled partners.
Freestyle.
Deadbeat opponents.

Who and what rank is that person?

I'd have to say it's between Blitz, maniacmath, and aafitz(I'm his bitch til may).

Blitz' last 10+ games are all team games with high ranking partners. So I'd say no to his score.

AAfitz isn't even on the top 20.

And wow, maniacmath does seem to play legit games. Impressive player. Didn't think it would be so high up.

Maniacmath is the top ranked player who plays 90%+ singles. LazarusLong at number 8 also plays 90%+ singles. Very few high ranked players play freestyle. And few get deadbeat opponents anymore since they can only join open standard games which few high ranked players join.

I fail to see how playing team games with skilled partners is an abuse. You try it yourself - when I play a doubles team, both of whom are 1600+ I win maybe 11 or 12 points and lose 35 points. These are decent players and I have to win 75% of these games just to break even. Not to mention that a round of bad dice against a couple of privates can result in a 50 point loss.

There are plenty of other high ranked players who play a significant amount of singles games. comic boy is a colonel plays around 50% singles, I have played against 7 of the 11 other colonels in singles either currently or recently. And I play a bit under 50% singles myself.

I think you should be careful before you jump to conclusions about what makes a great player. In my opinion blitz is probably the best all-round player on the site - all styles and settings, maniacmath best at singles and there are probably a few candidates for best at team games - blitz, JR, yosevuk to name a few.

I play over 90% singles games, but i am no way any more legit than any other player. I choose to play that way, cause its fun to me. Other people like doubles, triples or whatever.

well some people do abuse playing freestyle, espically people that hold, it's not against the rules, it's just pretty cheap

I am a ok player, Recently I have played about 40 team games, with a Major. Sorry to say we lost most of them to lots of players of lower ranks.

Yes team games can get you points , but can also cost you points.

Every single type of game has good and bad, but to be played well you must practice practice practice.................

You shouldn't call "abuse" against unrestricted strategies.

-I choose not to play freestyle because I am not fast enough.

-I choose not to join team games until I find a competent team.

-I don't deadbeat, I ignore the clock.

I play 4-6 player classic unlimited escalating better than anyone. If you are currently ahead of me in that particular category, I'm after your ass, and I don't care how long it takes: I will hunt you down and own you.

So find what you do and own that and stay out of the arena if you don't like the parameters.

(by the way, rt freestyle is an absolute blast . . . i'll be in when i have pts to spare)

I am magnificent at all game types.

I prefer games with more players, more players make games harder to win, which is reflected in my 51% win rate.

I've also been playing a lot of terminator games recently, where you don't have to be the last man standing to come out on top.

ty khan, perhaps you are too humble to mention yourself, but you are very solid khan, I like the skills that I have seen you display over the last month or two, you know this game very well in multi facets!

As for me, I enjoy playing std classic adj esc with 'leet skilled opponents...
Of course, no sane person would argue the fact that a 6 player standard game is statistically harder to win.... BUT never overlook that ALL game settings are difficult when you match up to challenging opponents that understand the strategy of that game.

but teaming with experienced players can be legit too as long as your playing against other teams that know what they are doing.

ill admit that freestyle does require some "cheap" strategies in order to be successful but it takes its own skill and anyone who can be good at that is legit in my book.
