i have yet to play a tournament... what are they exactly/whats the point of them?

they are for people who want to see if they can be the best of the group...mainly for bragging rights and to have fun.

Yes, they are just for fun and usually for bragging rights. Also, they can be competitive and a good way to get a lot of points. Plus, a few tournaments give away free premium or other prizes to the winner

Tournaments also add something extra to the game. It's not just a game, but there is also some extra involved. For instance: sometimes you can't win the game anymore, but in tournaments you have still something to play for, as a good position can still get you into the next game/round of the tournament.

ok, so can u jump into an existing tournament or do u have to wait for a new one to begin? how do they work, is it u win and advance/ lose and are eliminated? also whats up with the names of them, ex: Tiger Tribe vs. The Horsemen of Apocalypse
