Well, you had a basic survivor role that I didn't expect to be fulfilled.

I was really hoping that the guards would get recruited and/or killed simply so I could crack out the daykills and many lynches. Ah well.

Incidentally, I figured I should clear something up - this wasn't actually mandy:
The1exile wrote:Godly intervention

The avatar of mandlorian2298 descends again, though it seems slightly... different. Still, it begins to speak, if in a slightly forced manner, and delivers its message to all still alive in the town.
Mortals!

I have discovered that Sierra Leon is Tonka's Roleblocker. Helm has had fewer deaths and if we let him go much longer he will become too powerful.

I can assure anyone that if tonka's blocker is lynched he will not have enough power to take the game over at this point. with the powers that Fircoal and I will both gain from this lynch we can make sure any one of the faithful who is on the wagon will be protected from harm.

Tonka will likely have little left to defend himself because if he does not he will have no power roles left, and we can kill his last cult member tonight
--mandalorian2298

The message delivered, the avatar looks around, as if with no memory of what had happened, before crumbling once more into dust.
It was tonka (and perhaps the best hope Sierra had of staying alive, since no-one trusted that madman). mandy actually tried to respond, but thanks to his recruiter getting lynched, he didn't have enough god points. His response was amusing though:
Please ignore Tonka's desperate attempt to impersonate the mighty Talos. To prove my identity (which would be much easier if PCM was still alive :( ) let me say this:

1. My grammar may suck, but I never start a sentence with a small letter.

2. "Any one faitfull in a wagon"? That sounds like a begining of a religius joke. And my jokes are funny. :P

3. I have allready used my "do as I say and you will live chip" (which I plan to honor). I don't plan to exempt all of you from my wrath! Some of you are bad, unbelieving folk whom I would greatly enjoy Smiting.

4. Since there ARE traces of correct grammar in the post, we can safely assume that it haven't came from Fircoal.

5. DINAMO SCORED SECOND AGAINST HAJDUK! :D (In Croatian derby)

I hope that settles it. Since I am wasting my God points on this post, I might as well deny the accusation of my guys being bad and their guys being good (I haven't bothered before because I was winning and I planned to rule as a tyrant  ). Fircoal and I are trying to kill each other off and Tonka is trying to balance us (which is going to be hard, since we are both unbalanced  ). Neutrals win if either they get recruited by the winning team or if they kill of all our minions (which doesn't seem likely).

Since I AM winning at this point, I am proposing an alliance with the Neutral players.

For all practical purposes, both you guys and whomever has remained on my side make the mayority of Town. The best chance you guys have at winning is to get recruited by my guys. The least chance you have is if you remain Neutral.

My proposition: I will spend my God points on investigations and proclamations. Should I find Tonka's or Fircoal's minion, I will make a proclamation about it (in my, inimitableway 8) ). Don't speed lynch the guy, cause it a) could be another false proclamation by the Gods of Mouses or Trucks and b) because it will reveal your identity (Talosian or Neutral) to those two. I will mostly investigate the guys who aren't on board the bandwagon and I will mostly recruit the guys who are on it (after I have checked them out, of course). The more bad guys you get, the more points I get, the more actions I can preform (first one will be to find myself a non-submarrining recruiter  ).

That would be all. My my lightnings shine on your path (corny when I beg, ain't I  )

The1exile wrote:Yeah, Sierra actually did a hell of a job as an SK. Personally, I would have offed the doc and then the cop as soon as it became clear that there was no mafia, but did anyone actually get any serious votes going on him until day 7?
I didn't actually realize XGS was doc until just before his death, although I should've known immediately when he announced firth was his mason partner. I owe MTG a bit of thanks for killing him for me.
I let ga7 live that long, mainly because I needed him to investigate some more culties. I figured the only way I could survive in the endgame would be if there was at most 1 other cultie. I was also afraid that the watcher ga7 had mentioned would spot me. By night 5 I was afraid I would be next on the to-investigate list, so I killed him anyway.

By the way, what's with the townie-read ga7 got on jnd on night 4? He was already recruited night 3, right? :?

If I wrote townie, and I'm pretty sure I didn't, that was a mod mistake (probably caused by running off the role sheet without looking who was recruited)

That is sad yet true. And Mandy it's hasn't not haven't. ;)

Also I had a feeling that one of Mandy-scum's proclamations was Tonka-town.

I still told you I was a good guy...

And I never had any idea what was going on because no one ever included me...

It's a pity the Mandy proclamation didn't come through, I think it would have backfired on him :P
Yeah Exile, you said guard (townie) or something like that. It didn't matter fortunately
It was a good thing to keep me alive SL, I don't think I would have investigated you  I thought we might still have a slim chance if you killed Syzygy in the last nights as you didn't know he was Talos at this point... Ah well, good game =)

Sorry LSU.
As I said earlier Syzygy when you're scum there is no reason not to bandwagon and go for a quicklynch of someone that is not on your side. Kalish however, did act like a dumbass with his vote as he had no reason to do it without at least waiting til I was on. 3 votes when 4 are required for a lynch within about a 30 minute period is ridiculous especially without a "cop" claim stating that person was scum.
See I disagree completely. With the amount left, I thought I had a good read on Neutrino, Szygy (I thought they both were town), and Sierra_Leon (close, but I thought he was scum the whole time) and you (wrong, I thought you were recruited 3 nights ago). The only real question I had was about Koessen, but I figured the odds were in my favor of lynching scum, so I went for it.

And to be honest, even if you would have claimed your role before the hammer was dropped, I still would have played the odds and voted. All the fake claims around, what people say they are doesn't really mean much. Koessen dropped on me under pretty much the same circumstances, it happens, man.

Anyways, thanks for the game Exile. Weird system with the god points and everything, I bet that was a big pain in the ass but makes for a good game.

It was a bitch to run, but I enjoyed it. I'm staying away from large games in future though.

Anyone got any suggestions on how to improve it? comments on the meta-mafia system?

The meta-mafia system was good. ^_^ I liked it. Just a way to improve it is to tell the gods some of their other followers. Because once my priest was dead, I had no idea, of what to do. ;)

That was part of the point. If you can;t win, the objective was to nmake sure no-one else did ;-)

I also didn't really want to have the gods die as soon as their cults were wiped out, though I suppose i could do that and have recruiters have a henchman to start with.

Have the gods unable to win once their 2 main guys die isn't a bad idea I think... Else I'm not sure about all the roles that were empowering a god without knowing it, it made it interesting but was kinda tough at the same time

Well, for the next one(s) I plan to have a pantheon of more minor gods. but I'll be planning for another 7 player mafia soon on an entirely unrelated theme, so look out for it. :)

Great job Talassians, especially Pancake! He totaly blitzed the opponents made a big lead for us (and then got himself killed :P ).

Good game. I wasn't told anything by Cena, I didn't know my win condition exactly. As I was told I had to destroy the two cults, I assumed I was automatically 100% pro-town. However, this game had its twist.

I like the catastrophe setup twist. :P May I use something similar for a game I might host in the future?

Reading the god boards. And I hope I signup quick for your next game [not the next next, but another with a meta mafia. :P]

Boom headshot, yeah, I remember saying that once. :P

Also, a bit of advice for your next meta-mafia, the ability to sacrifice one of your people for god points.
