Desired setup for the next 42/21/whatever player games

Now that games 52329, 54872 and 55079 - first one the 42 player Battle Royale started by Death to All, and the others 21 player terminators started by me - have shown that MULTIplayer games both are possible and find players wishing to play them ,

I'd like to find out what's the most desired setup for such games.

The Battle Royale was escalating; some people thought it was too much of a luck of getting the cards rolling. The two 21 player games are terminator/flat rate; yet some people may think the setup was not changed enough, and some that it changed too much .

So this is your chance to vote for direction of setup that the next such game should be started with (in case I'd still happen to do it).

I don't think it was right just terminating the games. That is just as annoying as someone missing and turn or dead beating. We put the time in the games and PUFF!!! it was gone. Just not right.

By no means was my intention to poison nor destroy the great Battle Royale(s). That was, indeed, special of it's kind, and my poor tests limited to half of the player amount, which I hope You also noticed.

Moreover, your accusing words "illegal", "unauthorised" and "knock off" deeply hurt my feelings. I just can't recall that starting more than a 6 player game was actually forbidden, frowned upon, or even prevented somewhere here. Seeing You start one inspired me to follow, and I just wanted to have some (more) fun..... well, to be honest, I started those games just to show myself that I could do it, too.

So, please, have your Mercy on me.

Better yet, would there be even a slight chance that, once Your Great Anger has calmed down a bit, You'd be willing to have a look at the results of this poll, and possibly set up some games according to most popular choices voted?!??

I dare not even think of this, but maybe some day You'd also end up giving out rights to more people to start more MULTI player games (like tournament managers etc)? If by chance You'd do it, I'd like to be considered one to be given such rights, because I, of all players here, after all, appeared to be most excited about these special type of games.

Only a suggestion....

Maybe next time someone gets "exclusive rights" to make a game, can the rest of us know? I don't think tanar did it just to spite anyone, but out of fun. Not KNOWING that Death to All had exclusive rights was a simple mistake. To just pull the games with little notice wasn't fair to the people in the games, who were in it just for a fun game.

Ok, my opinion is that the next Battle Royale should be made only AFTER the not so small colours bug has been sorted out. When such a game is going on I think it is very important that you see clearlly who you are attacking. I understand that some certain colours would look very much like others but at least you would know which player you are attacking.

Oh, and they should be sequential no cards

I'm sure you're joking but no cards would be a terrible idea. And sequential would obviously be a worse won because the last few players would wait weeks to get a turn in.

I'm currently playing in the "official" battle royale 2 (56724)
And I must say... I liked tanar's setting much much better.

The way it's set up right now (standard + no cards) doesn't give any incentive for people to attack. So people just sit back and build up armies. Those who are impatient and try to attack, they end up getting picked apart later. (I'm still alive, and building up my armies.) Though I admit I appreciate D2A making it Freestyle.



I guess my point is: props to tanar for at least asking for inputs to make the game better, even though he's not "allowed" to start one.

Attention: Everyone

There has been talk about why aren't Battle Royales open for everyone, or what is the best format for them.

First let me explain that these are Beta games. As was seen in Battle Royale I, unforseen problems became apparent right away. Normally, testing of features is done with an offline version of ConquerClub. In this case, it was decided that it would be more fun and more beneficial to open this process up to the public, in a controlled environment where we can observe reactions/problems.

Last time we discovered that after a couple of rounds, everyone had a couple of cards and the first person who cashed in a set started collecting card after card from his conquests.

This time, we'll see what happens with no cards. Is it the best way to have a Battle Royale? Probably not. But it will give us more insight.

Ah, I didn't know Battle Royale was in a beta stage. Then it makes sense that only you can start it, to be able to observe the pros & cons. Hopefully it'll be completed soon and that anybody would be able to start it.
