Actually, the roots of 'Marshmallow' plant (Althaea officinalis) used to be used to make a medicinal confection, the predecessor of our modern fluffy, gelatinous, sugar laden marshmallows. The root has long since been omitted from commercial recipes, although the name has stayed the same.

 it says infection....  Yeah I have had a kidney infection.  It sucked ass!  I had a temp of 104.5 or something.  My husband had to carry me to the doctor.  I had an infection that I didn't know about and it spread to my kidneys.  I remember a little pain but then got really sick and couldn't walk.  Felt like I was in an oven.  They had to put me in a bath tub with ice water! NOT FUN!!!
