I just wanted to say hello to everyone. I'm a newbie to Risk and to the website. I started playing Saturday night after trying to get my wife to play with me after I purchased the DVD board game. I always wanted to see what Kramer and Newman were enjoying.

You are aware that this place isn't actually a dedicated Risk site, right?

It's actually a bustling general discussion forum with a time-wasting game built-in for playing when you're waiting for other posters to reply to you. Don't get bogged down in the whole 'game' part of this place, the really serious business is the forums.

Welcome. Things you should know:

watch out calling CC Risk
if you make a new thread, someone will make a sarcastic/cynical reply
make fun of wrestler1ump
don't play freestyle
1 v 1's all come back to who gets the best drop every game (i.e., luck)
there is a mentor program, should you need help
please don't deadbeat
the internet is Serious Business
theres a place called Flame Wars, don't go there if you don't like that sort of thing
