fine so, but I'm telling my Mammy on youRiskTycoon wrote:it's my ignore list and i shall do with it as i please!
i have never put somebody on my ignore list just because of rank.rebelman wrote:all very reasonable although i the instance of the cook it might be nice to ask him first and if that fails then put him oin ignore - anyway DiM anyone that looks thrugh your games you have played players of all ranks and skill levels including me so you dont seem to use your ignore to block us low rankers in general from joining games with you - you only put people on ignore where you have a good reason to - not just because of their score which is what this thread's author complained about - a sentiment i share.DiM wrote:if a low ranker is on a high ranker's ignore list it is usually for one of the following reasons:
1. deadbeat/ turn-skipper
2. suicider
3. can't play and makes horrible mistakes that unbalance the game.
i have all 3 types on my ignore list. and i don't care if people say i'm wrong i still want to enjoy my games and there's nothing worse than a guy who slams his 40 troops against your 40 troops just to break your +2 bonus in an escalating game when the trade ins are at the 30-50 value. that's idiotic and deserves ignore. same goes for a guy that plays with his heart not his brain and goes suiciding on you just because you broke his south america bonus.
but getting on an ignore list can come from various other reasons like trash talking, alliances, disclosing locations in fog of war.
i can't say putting somebody on ignore solely based on score is right or wrong. it depends on the situation.
for example i start 100 1v1 public games and a cook starts joining all of them. i'd have to win 95% of those games to break even and that's impossible. so i'd put him on ignore. is that wrong? i don't know. but i'd do it. but only if i had to win such an insanly large amount of games. if we're talking about something like 70% then i'll take the risk and play.
i have on my list all sorts of rank ranging from cook to brigadier.btw i don't put players on ignore randomly. i only have 27 people on my list:
13 are cheaters (that no longer play so i can safely remove them except for krusher(he still plays))
6 are freestyle abusers
4 suiciders
4 have extremely bad feedback (for various reasons)
i didnt put it on lolnikola_milicki wrote:please remove that avatar, poor bearHerakilla wrote:i think its dishonorable and just plain dumb

actually your existence ruins the site for others that's why you are on so many ignore lists, that's why you have so many negatives and that's why you get flamed by everybody.wrestler1ump wrote:I just thought it was a shame that someone with such a high rank would ruin this site for others.
anyone that doesnt have you on their ignore list is a fool.wrestler1ump wrote:If everybody comes up with all these reasons to ignore people, the ignore list is going to very soon ruin this site. It means fewer people getting to play in multiplayer games, especially 8 player games. And as people get mad about being ignored for no reason, many will leave the site and not buy premium.
I wasn't able to join an 8 player speed game because I was on Scott-Land's ignore list. I decided to be reasonable about it, and PMed him asking him to remove me just for this game, as it is impossible for someone to screw up an 8 player freestyle speed game. He told me something along the lines of "no way, you're record here is terrible". I just thought it was a shame that someone with such a high rank would ruin this site for others.

Nonsense. There are over 10,000 active users on this site. Surely there are at least 1,000 that don't have you on their ignore list... yet.wrestler1ump wrote:If everybody comes up with all these reasons to ignore people, the ignore list is going to very soon ruin this site. Dude if you didn't deadbeat and if you didn't "forget" about speed games than you would not be on ignore listswrestler1ump wrote:If everybody comes up with all these reasons to ignore people, the ignore list is going to very soon ruin this site. every neg you have is decent and well everyone knows anyway that you are a bad player. You take your turns slowly if at all, you do your homework and "forget" about speed game. You get distracted by Youtube in speed game you deadbeat you play poorly. That's why you are on people's ignore listwrestler1ump wrote:Actually I haven't deadbeated in a long time. Check my feedback, tell me when the last decent negative feedback was.
if you are to quote me, then quote me correctly-- most of the players i put on ignore are the ones who suicide and randomly attack big stacks of mine.wrestler1ump wrote:If everybody comes up with all these reasons to ignore people, the ignore list is going to very soon ruin this site. It's not ganging up on anyone. All players have the right to refuse to play with some players. It's the same exact discussion we had in another forum.wrestler1ump wrote:Glad to see that at least owenshooter isn't ganging up on me.
