[Official] Hall of Tournament Winners Feedback Thread

Post by Optimus Prime »

Now that we have a new way of recognizing tournament winners, if there is any feedback you would like to leave such as a better format, etc. Please do so in this thread.

The colors have no significance other than to provide a little bit of contrast and to break the lines up to make them easier to read, especially with the portions of the list that are much longer than others.

As for the tournaments such as Bring It On!!!, I will determine what to do at the proper time. I am already working on how to reflect the winners of yorkiepeter's 1 vs 1 Singles Leagues in a way that does not make the format of the list look unbecoming to the eye.

With Coleman's new tournament, there will not be a definitive winner anytime soon, so we will cross that bridge when the time comes.

I have an idea. Lets use one of my unfinished tourny's for example. Tha name of it is Koolers Klassic Tournament, so instead of just putting that with a link, you could put:

Koolers Klassic Tournament, iamkoolerthanu/co-director: winner

Where it says co-director, if there was one(or more)it could go there...Just an idea, it might be too time consuming though. ;)

It is a good idea, but there are other ideas in play for a way to give recognition to the actual tournament organizers. Hopefully it will be finished in the not too distant future.

In regards to Bring It On. I was just going to have 2 winners every month it is still going strong. You could just keep it with the latest 2 when I archive.
Warning: You may be reading a really old topic.

In that case, just let me know when the two winners are determined and I'll get it taken care of. :)

I have a question about my Fantastic Four tournaments. I know that they aren't similar and not numbered but they are still a story going on from tournament to tournament so will they go under Series Tournaments at some point? (though yeah, there's only 2 of them right now).

Oh, and another question. How are you updating it? Do you wish that we'll send you a message with completed tournament and the winners or you are doing it yourself, OP?

Great idea, btw :)

Btw 2, I like the idea of adding tournament organisers to the list :)

Cheers,
amazzony

As soon as you have 3 or more completed you can send me a PM and I'll move them down into the "Series" category.

I will always be doubling checking on occasion to make sure I have everything on the list properly, however it would be wonderful if the organizers would send me a PM when their tournament is completed so I know to put it on there. That is by far the fastest way to get your new winner up on the list.

Adding tournament organizers to the list is something I will have to think about. From the little testing I did with that idea, the list was far too cluttered. I'll think about it and try out a few things, but it may be a little while before I make any changes of that significance to the list.

Alright, I have added two posts to the bottom of the Hall of Winners thread. The first one is some helpful tips on how to get your tournaments or winners onto the list more quickly. The second one is simply a place to put the date of the last update to the list. I figure most players will like that easy to see location.

Let me know what you think.

A ranking of the multiple winners would be a nice addition as those guys and girls deserve special mention. I did this previously for blitz's top 5s thread but yours would obviously be more accurate and up to date.

It might also be nice to have the organiser's name next to the tournie but i see your above view regarding clutter my multiple winners rankng would not create clutter though.

Don't now why people on here don't like being cooks, remember under siege: A former SEAL, now cook, is the only person who can stop a gang of terrorists when they sieze control of a US Navy battleship.

It's on my to-do list in the Director's Forum, just haven't quite gotten there yet. I've got some other projects I was given that take priority.
