Trying to convert a joke wagon into a claim with about a week left in the (soft) deadline? What's wrong with waiting a little more to see if there are actual scumtells? Or the usual Safari-style going for an inactive?
Fastposted by Edoc and Zimmah: FOS Zimmah for the same reason.
Rodion pretty much said it. Pressuring me to claim this early because I got a few joke votes?
Well, sooner or later, someone is going to have to get pressured. One case is as good as another to me. But given who's playing in this game, I don't see a major scumtell developing. Deadline is deadline, and given the recent amount of activity in the forum, the earlier we can establish a claim, the more time we have to pursue other leads. The last thing I want to happen is a Egyptian Pantheon scenario where we basically wring a claim out right before deadline. That doesn't help.
wildwilliam, what sort of claim is it to say "im joining the bandwagon, so i must be scum"... what part of a bandwagon is scum, im just doing what everyone is doing on day one, taking a guess so we can get some evidence to go off of...
I don't think saf pressuring warrants a vote as I'm in the Egyptian game so things were messy there but we still have a week till a soft deadline and I know no lynches are hated around here but at the moment there are no major scumtells so a no lynch appears to be on the cards.

Safariguy makes an excellent point. He is right that we need to make real discussion, and that the sooner we go about it the better off we will be. However, he also must know that doing something to force discussion, particularly in such an inelegant way, will naturally earn him the ire and votes of others. Fortunately this is also discussion, so at least we are getting something...
Safari's post didn't strike me as scummy, but zimmah's hopping on the bandwagon did. Safari justified his vote (overall, the post kind of struck me as an eager Vanilla, but that's purely speculation), but zimmah just blatantly bandwagoned, piggybacking on saf's reasoning with BS (or so it seems to me).
EBWOP: Conzocool is kind of a newb, so I think I can let him off the hook. Next time, though, you better watch it, or else I'll take you out with the garbage

you just love voting me, don't you.
i think i explained my vote enough, considering it's still early day 1

I'll let you off the hook as your new, I'm a fairly recent addition and was let off the hook for blunders like these, but don't let me catch you doing this again or I will vote you.
About zimmah, I don't know about his experience but he does make his post look a little bit less than just jumping on the BW.

Not sure how - he just repeated what safari said. Pointing out that you're joining a bandwagon doesn't make it less scummy. I've got an FOS on him as well. If we're looking for someone to pressure, I think a bandwagon-jumper makes more sense than picking someone at random.

just pointing out, this is just my usually day 1 playing style. go look on all other mafia games i have been in on their day 1, i ALWAYS BW day 1. scum or not.

you seem a little defensive for a bunch of joke votes going around.
Well yes, technically we have to bandwagon for ANY case in order to actually lynch someone. And yes, Day 1 cases tend to be quite weak in comparison to later ones. I don't necessarily have a problem with a bandwagon from someone, but if they start jumping on every single new lead, then that sets my scumdar off.
