Slow, Slow, so Very Slow

http://www.conquerclub.com has become very, very slow. Any reasons for this, updates etc?

"The server at http://www.conquerclub.com is taking too long to respond." just got this again, the very moment i submited this post.

I'm just about fed up with it.

Have you got broadband? :? Mine is (usually) as quick as I would like it. There is the odd occassion, usually when the site is very busy, that i get page cannot be displayed, which is even more annoying when it happens during the middle of a turn, but, for the most part, I'm just fine and dandy. :D

Gerry, I get the same message too sometimes about the server being too busy. Fortunately it doesn't happen too often to spoil my enjoyment and hasn't yet had any direct impact upon any of my games.
I guess all I'm trying to say is, I know it can be frustrating but just try not to let it bother you.

Yea I have been have a lot of trouble the last few days! Almost couldnt finish some games last night. 2.0 map slow and time consuming any way.

At least some of the slowness was due to database changes I've been making lately. Over the next few days I'll be converting the game log data to a new format, and all that crunching should slow down the website some more :(

yeh ive been havin problems past couple of days. it gets to the point where it just won't load. partly due to the 'cruching' but also partly my so called 'broadband' internet that works more like a granny running backwards and forwards with the infomation :twisted:

even slower now. It's grind your teeth slow. Each page takes much too long to load. I'll give it a day or two and i'm done.

I'm sorry i paid for a premium membership now.
