Demonfork is an absolute horror show. I've never said it before, and I'll doubt I'll say it again, but seriously...avoid him like the fucking plague.

I would just say that out of 30 8 man dubs only four have gone past 50 rounds. Considering that the chaps I usually play consider 80 round games to be a quick stroll around the park you can be sure that no one has gone to sleep through any of those 30- 40 round games. They are all against good players and those kinds of players who play to the end. There are some excellently played games in there (some I have won) and frankly if Demonfork thinks there is no skill to it then, to put it simply, he lacks the depth of thought to appreciate the style.

But beyond that, he is a rude f*ck... and not in the 'rude f*ck but funny' way...he is just a rude f*ck.

I feel like this is a common occurrence with online interaction, as people are removed from the risk of having an actual confrontation. So if you were to act like this in an every day situation you would run the risk of getting into a fight etc. However when doing things online there isn't much risk so people are more prone to start conflicts.

Yeah, but the issue is he asked to join one of my sequential games (which are always friendly affairs) and then proceeded to behave like a complete tit who felt that gamechat abuse + deploying the solitary strategy of 'if you attack me I'll suicide' was the best way to go.

I like to play good players from different styles in 8 man dubs as the results are sometimes interesting. In his case though, beyond exhibiting some unusual character flaws, he did not prove to be an enjoyable opponent.

Herpes always gives me an interesting game sequentially...I made the mistake of assuming demonfork had as much class.

It is one thing to be abusive in a short 5 day game. It is another thing entirely to spend months behaving like an arse in a game that has (sadly) stalled and to do so when part of the reason the game stalled is that demonfork was employing the 'I'll suicide if I'm broken' strategy, which while effective in a wankerish kind of way does tend to stall no cards games!

Did you really just make a GD thread flaming someone because they used bad, naughty language in the gamechat and it's left you all upset?

You could:
Use the foe button
Make a C&A report. You may have to prove that flat rate isn't "boring games for fuckwits" which could prove troublesome.

Still, good luck, and don't let those big nasty boys upset you again.

Actually I agree with you that my language lost some of its natural zest in an effort to not have this thread locked down almost immediately. I would have much preferred to title it 'Fucking C*nt', which I believe much more aptly describes a suiciding former-conqueror who felt his only strategy was to threaten a suicide if one of his bonuses (in a ludicrous split-position) was broken. That, combined with him having all the manners of a crack whore in need of a fix, pretty much inspired me to to my bit for the CC community.

You are wrong about 2.1 8 man dubs. IMO it occasionally reaches near Risk-perfection and for the odd game that stalls, I have had some absoutely fantastic games at the style that have been some of the highlights of my CC gaming.

Especially so, as the object of my affections continues to not make his presence felt. Is he frit? is he cowering in his online corner amongst the debris of his farming victims?
