Add a new room to livechat the sole purpose of which is for people to ask questions pertaining to CC.
Specifics/Details:
every now and again we get new users in Social asking for help, while no one minds answering their questions it does cause a slight disruption, people also occasionally ask in callouts which is meant to be only for finding games.
How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
I'm almost positive that if someone looking for help joins the live chat and see a tab called Help that they would go there to ask their question. I think this is a simple change that could potentially help customer retention and satisfaction. The advantage of this over the Q&A forum is that players will be able to assist other players in REAL TIME. I made a room to test the concept, type "/join Help" to check it out, it has received a good reception.
There are currently 6 players in the Help tab right now, and its not a default room. I think this would be a good idea.
One problem I have noticed already... if there isnt someone to answer questions 24 hours a day, players can get frustrated if there is no-one there to answer their questions.
Otherwise, great idea!
EDIT: Also, I think many more players will use the live chat feature if there was a help tab implemented.

This would be my only concern, as well...but the advantages clearly outweigh that disadvantage.

I support a help tab, you would need a whole diff team i think tho, not just our fun loving chat mods, although some could be on the help team if they choose so, but also new mods that could be JUST for the help tab...

not really biased....but the current group of chat mods are some of the more knowledgable members on this site.
I think generic users will be there to help as well...it doesnt have to be a mod.
True lovo, i didn't mean the chat mods don't know whats going on... whenever i have a question i want answered quick ill usually ask jake or TFO who is not even a chat mod. But more would not hurt, and mods from all diff time zones would be great so it could be like a 24 hour help line, hard to find the right people tho maybe...
I think it's a good idea. There are a lot of people who come into the chat asking for help in Social, and wouldn't a help tab be better than posting a question in the forum and having to wait for a response? It would be...I know...lol
