RATIO'S

Post by General Alertus »

I would like to know what is the ratio of winning turns percentages for Premium members over non playing members, Certainly seems adventagious to pay as opposed to not in playing this game.

You will drop a bonus 11% of the time and get 1st move 62%.

My win % as a freemium was 7%. When I went premium I rose to 55%.

Thats also when I stopped wall messaging myself.

But stay freemium. You have a pretty cool hat.

It's human (and maybe alien) nature to think that the odds are stacked against you when things don't seem to be going how envisioned they would. Looking at the games you've played, I don't think you playing Premium Members is the issue---perhaps its that you've been playing 5-8 player games, which can dramatically impact your experience and winning chances, and that a number of your games are Team Games where you and another user of generally low rank are taking on more experienced ranks (especially for the Waterloo map you seem to be fond of).

If you want to see your tide turn, try another strategy---play some 1vs1 games on a standard/typical world domination map, like Classic, Germany, Macedonia, etc.

Or, if you are interested in team games, perhaps join a Clan and see if you can find a regular partner so you two can improve your strategy with one another.

Moreover, if you haven't already, check out the Society the Cooks---they teach some solid and basic strategy for larger games on the Classic map, that can be ported to other maps and other experiences and settings. Contact one of the instructors---wacicha, mpjh, Iron Butterfly, macbone, dhallmeyer, Bruceswar---to join.

And peruse the Official Strategy Guides forum for some strategy info on available Guides---new ones are being added every couple of weeks.

Maybe he should join the Society of the Cooks before looking for a Clan then, Qwert. ;) Just trying to be helpful.

my win percentage has been steadily decreasing since I went premium. But I also have on average more points. Why? Game types. I went from freestyle 1v1 and 3 player (before clickies were huge, now I can't even compete  ) to a lot more team games, terminator, and 6+ player escalating.

"ratios" does not have a fucking apostrophe you god damn fucking ignorant inbred

an apostrophe is to show that letters have been missed out or that something belongs to something else (e.g. the General's lack of intellect). it is not for pluralisation.

interestingly, what with your name being General Alertus, the possesive for you would be General Alertus'. therefore: General Alertus' ignorant stupid use of the word "RATIO'S"

Um, really HP...this is your contribution to the discussion?
Perhaps your points regarding proper grammar and punctuation would be better received without your unnecessarily added personal opinion regarding the op's education and heritage. Typically when one becomes emotional regarding a subject, as you have here, it becomes difficult to retain credibility in the eyes of the reader.
Maybe you need a less stressful hobby...try knitting, knit one...pearl two, pretty relaxing I hear.

The SOC is a great way for you to gain experience OP. Mix up your game types and you will find your best combination.

on the contrary: altering someone's opinion is rarely possible without presenting them with an emotional challenge.

so really, by presenting an emotional challenge to his poor punctuation i am doing the only thing that could possibly persaude him to see the error of his ways.

I will not enter into a flame war with you HP.
In your response to my post...your vocabulary, tone and lack of rhetoric made you sound intelligent and dare I write, moderately credible; even if you don't yet know how to use spell check or the shift key. Now if I could just get you to add something constructive to the OP's post/question I feel my work here would be done.

I figured it was about 15% but even 10% is to much of an advantage to be considered fair on those who can only play for fun, Premium V premium, non payer vs non payer would be the correct way to go..No wonder i struggle with wins, Tactics are impeded the second I click "start game" vs a premium player.

The 10% bit was a joke. There is no difference between premium and freemium with respect to the dice. However premiums play more games and thus can increase their knowledge and experience faster. As in all things knowledge is power and that is why you loose your games.
Kiron is a full fledged general and also a freemium. Just to show you that it can be done..
