Show only active tournaments in Game Finder

Well i think that will be good that you have option to remove finished tournaments from Tournaments list in game finder, and you all ways can bring back by click on [add finished ].



edit: with new implementation,these sugestion become much better , then these new implementation,who are only bring game finder tournament to one step back.

where? i dont see nowhere button who will split to show only active from finished tournaments.

he's right. If you click both the box for active, and tournaments in the game finder, you can look up all active tourney games. same thing goes with finished tourney games. But is it that you want the games or the actual tournaments?

i see what you say, but mine sugestion its for tournaments,not tournaments games, i think that i write these clear. That why i add visual example. Its become boring,to everytime need to scroll to find active tournament from finished,and will be good adition, so that everybody can decide to see only active tournament on list.

hmm,i just check these ,and its show 485. I think that mine sugestion will give you fast view of ongoing Tournaments.
These example request to much informations to give. These is way from perfect,but i think that mine sugestion will improve that,and that you will in game finder,much faster find Tournament,then in these.
For Example,if i want to find mine tournament,first i need to write mine name,and ongoing,and second when i press mine tournament they show me mine Topic instead to show me mine all games from these tournament. That why i want to remove all finished tournament from list in game finder, to much scrolling every time.

What need is there to look up active tournaments other than the ones you're in? Also, you can click on the drop down box and just start typing the tournament name and the list will jump to that name.

that tournament drop-down box is becoming very unwieldy - and it is only going to get worst

so i support you qwert, great suggestion.

the drop-down should by default show only the names of current tournaments, if a player wants to search games on finished tournaments then they click the link/button/something and all tournaments will appear in the drop-down

To type mine name where? First of all these tournament page,will bring me to Tournament topic,not give me list of games. If i type mine name and then click on tournaments,then i will get all tournaments mix when i play,and again not good. Im tournament organiser,and when i want to check mine ACTIVE tournament,i need to scrool, and to be carefull,because all mine 16 tournament have same starting name, and if i can have these two option,i can deactivate showing of finished tournaments,and get only active, ofcourse if someone other want to scroll and to look all together(finished and active),then they all way can press "add finished" button,but i must say that list become more and more filled,and become to much long.

Start typing the tournament name (like Qwert's Bracket Tournament).
Once you get to the first tournament in your series, use the arrow key to start going down until you reach the correct number.



Anyway, I've thought on this idea in the past and will probably add it to the Tournament Wish List at some point.

yes please add this suggestion to the things that need to get done.

its really annoying to check through my tourneys with the current system.The tournaments tab in game finder is too long .

that option only gets you to the forum page for the tourney not the games.

Why to be simple, its can be comlicated?
I hope that you will realised that these sugestion can much improve search for active tournaments in game finder.
You have zilion tournament series who start with almost same name-
example
ESCALATING FOG-
your eliminated

these few tournament series, have over 150 tournaments,and you had many many more series who had same starting name.
But if you get option to left only active, you will have much faster search for tournament what you,organise,or play.

While Qwerts suggestion would work, I think that this is probably a better way of dealing with the problem. (at the moment the problem is more of an annoyance, however in the future could easily become a massive problem as more and more tournaments are run). It depends how easy it is to add.

I think that something does need to be done, or at least considered now.

I do sometimes search through past (finished) tournaments to look at who played and such like, so like the suggestion I have quoted, it would be good to still be able to search finished tournaments.

well that what mine sugestion give-
And what you say,these can be real problem, because i look on tournament list ,and they show that you have over 511 active tournaments(if these correct), so list in game finder will be more and more long. One day all these 511 will be in game finder list finished,but you will get more and more new. I dont make number of all tournament on game finder,but this list are very long.
