Yes, because everyone knows that the Roman Empire is like, the most important thing ever.steak wrote:This seems like an obvious question, but it surprises me that no one had built one- it seems, apart from the classic map, to be the obvious second choice. A Mediterranean map depicting the late roman empire seems to be a logical, but absent choice from the maps selection. Why is it so?

Imperium Romanum is okay, but Conquer Rome is everything a map should be. I absolutely love it!steak wrote:I was a noob when I wrote that original post. I love the Imperium Romanum map now I've played it hundreds of times.
For the record, Army of God, the Roman Empire was the most important thing ever. A great deal of western society is still based on the institutions crystallized and formalized by it. But that is not why I thought it was the logical second choice for a map. It is because the second version of the original board game 'Risk' was 'SPQRisiko' which was a roman empire map. I was expressing surprise that CC mapping didn't follow that same development.
