Hiya CC. The Newb here. First time organizer, not-so-long time player here on CC. Since this is just my first tournament here on CC, I decided to keep things simple for my first. This league will be a standard 1v1 tournament, where 16 people fight for the honor of becoming CCWL's World Champion. Well, not really, but whatever. So yeah. Now all games will be played with the following settings:
-Standard Settings
-Automatic Troops
-Flat Rate Spoils
-Chained Reinforcements
-No Fog
You can, however, choose your own home map. But all maps that can be won by holding a certain area are off limits. (AoR, Monsters, etc) Feel free to choose a map already in use as more than one person will be able to use a map as their home feild. Now the League itself will be played with a regular season and a playoff, using the following setups:
REGULAR SEASON
The regular season will split all players into divisions, 4 of them to be exact, each with 4 players. During the season, each player will play a total of 36 games. 12 games against divisional rivals (2 home 2 away against each) and 24 against out of division rivals. (1 home and 1 away against each) Who is in each division will be decided using random.org. For each game, the round number that the game is finished in will be taken into account as a tie breaker for the end of the season. Each person will start with a total of 500 rounds. If you win, the rounds played will be added to that 500, if you loose, the rounds will be deducted. If two teams are tied at the end of the season, whoever has more rounds will be seeded higher.
PLAYOFFS
The playoffs will be played in the same format as the NFL, except using only 6 teams. The 4 division winners will be seeded 1-4, with 2 wild card players seeded 5 and 6. The playoffs will have each round played as a best-out-of 3. First person with two wins will advance. I choose this so no one is eliminated because another person gets a lucky drop at the start of the game. Also, between rounds, re-seeding will occur, so in each round the top remaining seed will play the bottom.
After the sign up is complete, i will edit out the sign up sheet, and replace it with two tables. The first will be for the regular season standings, the second for the playoff tree, once the playoffs are reached. Good luck to all who join
