Assassin games

In an assassin game is it possible that you could be your target's target or are targets allotted so that this never happens?

The game will never start like that but...

When someone deadbeats - the player who had the deadbeat as a target changes targets to the deadbeaters target. So with the right combination of deadbeats it could happen.

In that case if I've worked it out correctly, and as you say a game can never begin like that, then even if several players deadbeat you shouldn't end up being your target's target until it gets down to just two players (i.e you and your target).
