Big Brother is getting even bigger. This week, Chinese lawmakers have voted through a law that gives the government the power to spy on ordinary citizens through their phone's camera, microphone and/or GPS for simply being suspected of being about to engage in crime:

Members of the government will of course be exempt and it will be illegal for police to monitor them in this way.
When will the UN step in to save the Chinese people from these abuses of their liberty and privacy?
