I may be missing something very obvious here and if I am i apologize, but I have noticed there are several people with less points than me but a higher rank. Why is this?

And if you don't wish to bother finding them. I'll tell you. It's cuz you don't have enough experience. You could have 5000 points but only five games, so you'd still be a private. However, someone with 2000 points but 500 games would have a rank of captain.
