-----------------So I like to go to HINES PARK...SOUTHWEST, DETROIT...TO THE WESTLAND/CANTON,LIVONIA AREA...Via BIKE...
----------------- Sometimes I ride my bike from Outer Drive, Southwest , Detroit...To Hines Park ,Westland ish,area...MI......When going through Dearborn,MI....I usually ride on The Dearborn High School side of the street(Outer Drive)...But one time I couldn't get to that side...So I was on the other side of Outer Drive...That has Apartment Buildings and a huge parking lot...So I am on the side walk, riding...When someone else on a bike heads towards me, he shouts,"GOOD FOR YOU!!!!!!"...He seems happy to see someone else riding a bike,for transportation...We talk for like 40 minutes about stuff...Politics , etc...How we grew up...How no one rides bikes anymore...It was like meeting me on the street...He,like me...Grew up on bikes...First you rode a tricycle...Then you moved to a little bike,then a bike(grown up)...
----------------------For the past 2 decades,kids grow up , driving POWER WHEELS,little cars...One friend of mine,had a kid...When given a bike...Got on it, and asked,"where is the button(power button)
..."...--------------------- As I ride around, I see good bikes, just laying around(people who most likely stold them,then tossed them),just laying all over ,abandoned....When I go to the store,mall,etc....In the bike rack...Bikes are just in them..Not locked up...I always lock my bike up...30 years ago...People would cut your bike chain,steal your bike...
