Why are Troy, Central Florida, Brigham Young, and Central Michigan in there? I know that Central Florida won the "CUSA", but what about the rest of them?

CMU won the MAC, I assume the others were also conference winners.
No doubt there is a playoff system needed the BCS is not the way, don't know if we will ever see one for major college football but we can hope, and I read that article,if only that was the way it really went down sure would be interesting.
(p.s Dustin,awesome sig )
They didn't address Notre Dame or the other independents either. I think if they go to a playoff, the independents should be forced into a conference. Notre Dame would be logical for the Big Ten anyway. (just what we need, another team at the level of Purdue or MSU) Either way, I'm hoping for a playoff within the next decade... sure would be cool!

I think Notre Dame and Navy could classify as At-Large bids, only if their good enough. Notre Dame sucks

In the same way ND gets a BSC bid for a certain record, they could automatically allow them an at-large bid for a certain record. Notre Dame or not, I like the idea a lot.
