It is with a heavy heart that I join you all. At this time, I will not renew without satisfactory action from the site administration before my subscription is up.

There will have to be a compelling and thorough argument from the site administrators demonstrating how the alleged actions of the four banished damaged the integrity of the site to a point that the only way to maintain order was with a permanent banishment. I would like to see a description of the extent of the damage in question as well.

This does not have to be done in public, and I would keep confidential anything shared.

So the ball is in their court. It is up to them to convince me to continue paying to support what would, to me, be a service substandard to what I have grown accustomed. (Yes, I am fully aware that this can be construed to paint me as a hypocrite, considering the parody I made of other people's demands, but this is not a map's appearance being changed, it is a drastic removal of the most consistent generators of quality content.)

Furthermore, I will gladly pony up some donation money if repurchasing for the four accused would help assuage the wrath of the administration.

I love Conquer Club. I hope the administrators understand that it is that love that motivates my statement here, and respond to this protest accordingly.

What troubles me is the uneven application of banning by the mods. Prowler has been posting private posts from Tavernside clan in the flame wars for the express purpose of destroying the clan. It seens this action is far more destructive than what brought on the most recent mass banning, yet the mods have taken no action against prowler and his canary.

They think they have us with this yearly renewal scheme. Nothing they do that pisses people off will ever hurt business, since people have on average 6 months to cool off before money becomes an issue again. Assuming we're still playing by the time renewal comes up (and why wouldn't we be, since we already payed for it?), then likelyhood is that we'll renew, unless their latest stupidity is very recent.

The only way to break this cycle is to stop playing games, even though we've already payed for them. This may seem like we're only hurting ourselves, but it hurts the site as well: they lose players, and things slow down even more. They like things booming with activity. Let's do all we can to stop that, with a boycott... it's the only way we, as consumers, can make our voice heard.

Yes... I would also be content with a temp ban. But a permaban is unacceptable, and is tearing people away that are important to this community.

No, this is the wrong thing to do. By playing, we are making the site more active, and also creating the illusion of support. While renewal may not be for a while, quitting now is the only way to make our opinions relevant.

Yeah, this thread isn't about BES... and I hardly think he'd be responsible for the banning of DM. If he had an issue with someone, he wouldn't be the type to run off to twill.

So let's focus on the issue at hand. I'm trying to set up a situation in which keeping the four banned, is bad business for CC. Any more names for the boycott list?

The 4 people who got busted (not banned) clearly violated the rules of the site, Mustard after numerous warnings and vacations.

They do have the same option of any person busted for being a multi to come back and stick with only one account.

Now, here's what I don't understand:

Why on earth should we "pander" to liars, cheaters, and people who violate the rules?

Conquer Club has always, and always will, uphold the rules which have been put in place to maintain the integrity of this community. If any user violates those rules, especially as blatantly as they did, then they will be removed. Plain and simple.

You want to stay in this community, if it means so much to you, follow the rules. How hard is that?

If ya don't like it. Leave. We're not keeping you here.

So if you feel the need to leave, bye bye. We will give up your $25 if we think it is in the best interest of this community not a small few who think they exempt from the rules.
