dungeon explorers (5/64) (0/8 reserves)

Post by cupid1080 »

Hey people. just trying to get a different tournement out there. Would like to get as many people in here. kinda new to the whole tourny creating, but i think i got a hang of it.

Map Settings will be
Map: Draknor
Style: Standard/Sequential
Spoils: Flat Rate
FoW: Yes

First 3 Rounds: 8 8-person ffa games round robin. Match setup will be random for the first round, with the next two based on points earned. Points based on when eliminated. 0 points for first eliminated, 1 for second eliminated, 2 for third, and so on up to 7 for the winner.
Fourth Round: 16 4-person ffa games based on points from round robin. Winner of each game moves on to round five.
Fifth Round: 4 4-person ffa games from the winners of the last round. This one will be a random order. Again, winner of each game will move on.
Final Round: 1 4-person ffa game. Winner will be crowned from this game.

A good start, but you're going to have to add some more detail as to how the tournament will progress and such. Look through the other tournaments and see what they've added detail-wise and compare it to yours to see what is needed.

Also, not that many people like to play freestyle, so if you could explain the reason why you picked it over sequential, that'd be a good thing and would help people decide. Using sequential order would more than likely get you more people though.

Not in--I try to avoid freestyle :?

Better(still not in), but what's the points distribution? Just curious if it's all worked out already. An 8 player Flat rate sequential game will probably last for quite a while, so as long as you're prepared for this that's good to know. You're asking for a lot of people and most want mucho detail so that they know you have everything planned well.

Because there's still information missing.

Will the games be standard or terminator? It makes quite a difference for how the game is played and how long it's going to take for it to finish. And if you're going by order of elimination anyway...

This one's not even close to starting and has gone beyond the expiration date. Gotta cancel it.
