NCAA map [CLOSED]

using tjjazbec's idea, im going to try to create a map of the United States, but making the territories out of NCAA colleges. A.) are the schools names copyrighted? B.) should i pursue this idea?

the logos are copyrighted but the school names themselves are not.

it's different than a regular us map. Americans should/would love it. if you don't like it, that's ok

so, do you think i should start working on it? i didnt want to until i got support. also, what tool should i use? they say no paint, but inkscape, but i'm not sure if i should get inkscape or what. i want a free download

well mabye you could make an outline or rough draft on paint to show everyone your Idea, and if everyone likes that, then you can move on and do the map. :) <--(andy's smile)

I downloaded inkscape for free. The link is under map-making tools. I found it very easy to learn (if you've ever used photoshop you'll pick it up quickly) and its much more powerful and dynamic than a program like paint. There are other possibilities too, all listed under map making tools.

With the overwhelming majority, hating the idea, i've closed the NCAA idea. im still open to make maps, unfortunately not this one
