Las Vegas Casinos

Post by DaSpitter »

I think that would be neat...you could have all of the major Casinos in Las Vegas, NV or you could even have one for the entire state including Lake Tahoe and Reno....I think that would be cool

You might run into trouble with the linear-ness of the vagas strip. It is a neat Idea though.

You might have some trouble as it was said before with the vegas strip but create a draft and see where it goes

That's true...since the strip is in such a straight line...it would make it hard....how do you create maps? Is there a program on here?

Use photoshop, trust me they will not allow you to use anything else. I say focus in on LA. Make the vegas strip through the center and have some signs that are impossibles, maybe that volcano can bombard a far away territ? Try to make it as intresting as possible. Thing of how you are going to work the bonus scale. I suggest not grouping them into areas because of how the strip is but maybe making the bonuses like, "Holding two major casinos is +2 or Three Major Casinos is +4" The sky is the limit! Just try things out and post a draft!

Nope. Nope.
I suggest you read the Map Making Tools thread, as well as the Map Making Handbook. There is a link to GIMP in the Map Making Tools, which is a free downloadable software that is a simplified version of Photoshop for $0.00. bryguy has made many mini-tutorials available in the Map Making TTT which I also suggest you read.

Read up — there are a ton of things you can take advantage of here in the Foundry!
