NEW: Conquer Club Clan Rank

Post by chipv »

On request from jpcloet, here is a small script for Clan Stats

Clan Stats

Go to Game Finder. At bottom is a dropdown for all groups/clans and just select one and press Clan Stats.
Columns are sortable.Click on coloured column headers.

Clan Tags

Press the Compile Clans button in left menu. Wait for "Compilation Complete" alert box.
(Only need to do once every few months or so depending on people joining and leaving clans).

Players will have clan tags next to their names on games listings.

Clan Battles

Image

You will only see this in game finder if you have pressed the Compile Clans button on the left menu.
(Wait until the Compilation Complete alert box come up, it may take a few minutes).
Also pressing this button means zero wait time on clan tags, by the way, so it is beneficial.

At the bottom of game finder after refreshing, you will see Clan 1 v Clan 2 select boxes.
You can do a number of searches after choosing which clans to view

1.Clan League: Select the Clan League tournament and press the Clan Battle button.
2.Clan tournament: Select the tournament and press the Clan Battle Button.
3.Clan War: Select one of: 2 players, Doubles, Triples, or Quads to get individual stats.
If nothing is selected then a full scan is done (tournaments are excluded, only private games are scanned).

The results window shows the game link, clan winner, players, and map in sortable columns.
Click on coloured column headers.

Caveats:

It is currently not possible to get a history of clan membership. That means that each player is tagged with their current clan.
That pretty much means that the stats are accurate for current clan membership.

Also it is possible to include friendly private games in the clan war results - this is why a full list of games is displayed.

Neat!

I don't suppose there's a way to leave out inactive members? Maybe cross-referencing with the scoreboard?

Well, is there another way to determine if a member is inactive? The scoreboard is a huge number of pages.

I'm not sure. I kinda suspected that might be a bit intensive.

Neat! :D

Edit: It does "mess up" my name though, since it defaults to a capital first letter, while I (rather embarrassingly) went for the hip "capital letter in the middle" thing.

Just had a quick look, it is possible if I do a "search" on each member which is quick.

This would change the stats, though, is this what you wanted?

I was just thinking about people who have left CC, but have been left as members of the clan, in case they ever stop in again. It doesn't really make sense to me to leave them in the stats, if they aren't active, and if they do come back, they will return to active status, and be included again.

Leaders are now highlighted in Blue, unless of course you are a busted player and the red is the default in that case.

Players will need to reload this as some minor changes have been made.

We found that players without ratings had a Null value in ratings, so ChipV had to work around that.

Please continue to test and note suggestions here! :)

Thanks again to ChipV. =D>

I see you in Blue for both UF and WF, you need to reinstall. Re-click above.

Clans really shouldn't leave bookmarks on their rosters. You can always add that player back later to the roster.

The script also shows up on the page where you enter a game password. Can you take it off that page? Thanks.

Someone should definitely use this to set up "Clan stats", like comparing average "CC days" between clans, games played, etc.

I agree, but regardless of what clans should, or should not do, being able to get more accurate stats would be useful. It seems to me that, if it's possible, finding a way to make the tool work more effectively would be easier than getting all clans to follow specific methods. Then again, I don't really understand how easy/difficult it is to get all clans to do something, nor do I have much understanding of how to write scripts.

Playing Devil's Advocate here.

So why should non-active clan members not count, they are clan members none the less?

One thing, off the top of my head, would be members who have not played (or won a game) since the new ratings, and medals were introduced, have 0 in both categories, even though that is, most likely, not representative of their attitude, ability, experience, etc...

On the side of "Active Clan Members"---when King Achilles does Usergroup checks for activity---he looks for 'x' number of active users to keep the Usergroup going. Seems like it could make sense to port that similar notion of "Active Users who actually contribute" to this idea.
