Can you please explain that post?neanderpaul14 wrote:JJM wrote:1. If you do not believe in god then how do you think the Bible predicted that Israel would once again become a nation?

Thanks for another great laugh Jimbo.
I do not believe in God and I firmly believe people made the nation of Israel.JJM wrote:1. If you do not believe in god then how do you think the Bible predicted that Israel would once again become a nation?
I do not believe we were created, I believe we have evolved - and symmetry is a natural permutation of evolution.JJM wrote:2.If You believe we were created by a "big bang" then why our all our body symmetrical.

Bilateral symmetry...mpjh wrote:Ah, jim, our bodies are not symmetrical. If you haven't noticed, we have genitalia in front and butt holes in back. We have eyes in front and solid bone in back, except for moms that have eyes in the back of their heads. We have ears on the side and none in front and back. If we were symmetrical, we would all be shaped like spheres.

Sorry, still doesn't make sense. We are only somewhat symmetrical bilaterally from a frontal or rear view left and right, but from a side view, left and right, we are not at all symmetrical. So what is the dominant trait, the symmetry or the asymmetry?john9blue wrote:Bilateral symmetry...mpjh wrote:Ah, jim, our bodies are not symmetrical. Doesn't matter how much you are... you're either symmetrical or not. Some have more degrees of symmetry (starfish for instance) but we still qualify.mpjh wrote:Sorry, still doesn't make sense. If you believe in God, how come muffins are not the same thing as English Muffins? (That question makes as much sense as yours)
I would guess he's using it as evidence for intelligent design... although symmetry is due to evolution at the molecular level, and there are more convincing arguments for ID than this. Even CreationWiki denies it:GabonX wrote:JJM..
How does symmetry of the body relate to God?
I legitimately want to understand what your point is but I don't.
You can do better, Jim.CreationWiki response wrote:It is agreed that this is erroneous. This claim is not now nor was it ever generally used by creationists. It seems to be exclusive to this source.

I think I might see where you are going with this, that a symmetrical body is an indication of an intelligent design rather than the product of of natural selection and random mutation? Without further explanation I still think that you are presenting another weak argument for evidence of intelligent design.2.If You believe we were created by a "big bang" then why our all our body symmetrical.

There is a little difference between believing there is a god, and believing that the external partial bilateral symmetry of humans is conclusive proof thereof.demonfork wrote:Weak argument, this could be nothing more than a self-fulfilling prophesy.JJM wrote:1. But, I wouldn't worry If you were you...
As lame as your arguments are, you are still on the side of some of the greatest minds that mankind has ever known...
idiots like Copernicus, Galileo, Descartes, Newton, Planck, Einstein & many many others.
I mean, what fools those guys were for believing in God.
Very interesting since it was predicted before Israel was NOT a nation that they would be a nation AGAIN after they had been scattered. How is that self-fulfilling?demonfork wrote:Weak argument, this could be nothing more than a self-fulfilling prophesy.JJM wrote:1.
