In the situation of a 1v1 freestyle where my opponent's a deadbeat, will I never get a turn henceforth until he gets kicked out after missing 3 consecutive? THat'll take forever.

Every 24 hours you will get a turn and then it will be his again.

When 12 hours of the next turn has passed you will get to take your turn even if your opponent haven't showed up yet. And then the same for the turn after that.
