Yea you did. I looked it up... and the reason you gave was that I'm voting 'No Lynch'. Really?madmitch wrote:pretty sure I voted Thorth
Care to elaborate on this?madmitch wrote:He might be playing that new guy card, so keep on pushing him Dakky, better him than me
Welcome KJ. 'No lynch sounds like a good strategy until sufficient evidence is gathered.Kamikaze Jawa wrote:Greetings! As Lord Voldemort stated, I am replacing your absentee. If you'll allow me to say, I am brand new so I apologise in advance for any stupid noobiness but shall try my best.
I have read through the entire thread but at this point I don't feel able to confidently pick up any scum tells so for now I shall vote no lynch.

With potentially as many as 13 players as dwarves I don't see how this could really be spying out roles... Replying in the negative does not mean you are a dwarf, nor does it mean you are not a dwarf, and affirming this hypothesis only makes you one of likely 6-11 others, with no clue as to whether your role in particular has any abilities or not; Fíli & Kíli as a single role would likely have some sort of ability, while Bofur & Bombur as a single role would still probably just be a vanilla townie.
My guess is that nobody does have multiple characters as their role, and with that being the case I have information I wish to share before the first night phase, however if I am wrong about that then my revelation is bound to be harmful to town.
You helping to promote Pika's role-fishing tease, Beast? The setup question is fine (though probably not very helpful) but then going straight into asking him about his role... with a decent potential for a brand new player to offer more than was asked?!? Hmmm.ZaBeast wrote:And what about your role? Pika wanted to know if anybody was playing more than one character. He said he had information he would share if no one was.
Joining, immediately saying you have no input whatsoever on the previous 6 or 7 pages of discussion, joining what is currently the closest thing we've had to a bandwagon, and that thing being the No Lynch train is probably the scummiest thing I've seen anybody do this game so far. I'm willing to believe you may be new and as such I'll hold off voting for you on that basis alone, but you have to have some thoughts about something that's happened so far, otherwise why are you even playing?Kamikaze Jawa wrote:Greetings! Pikanchion wrote:You clearly refuse to participate in Day 1 of the game because you're set on No Lynching, even if you are set on a No Lynch you could at least comment on something other than the setup of the game. How does this help town? How is town meant to have anything to go on going into Day 2 if nobody talks about anything other than setup during Day 1? Refusing to properly participate in Day 1 sets you up as a neutral party, you've disagreed with nobody over anything substantial, and likewise nobody has anything to disagree with you over. If scum this is a valid tactic, if town this is simply selfish.
No Lynching unless a candidate for scum appears is a self-fulfilling prophecy, if nobody has any pressure put on them then nobody will ever look scummy. If a game is day-starting it's clearly balanced under the expectation of a Day 1 lynch, otherwise there's no reason not to make it a night-start game.
As pika pointed out, just mentionning whether you are playing two dwarves or not is not giving info on your role. You could have powers or not, and if you're not playing more than one dwarf, you could litteraly be anything. I just figuered thatMudPuppy wrote:You helping to promote Pika's role-fishing tease, Beast? Well again: unless you are one of the relevant dwarven roles and happen to know better, you should have no reason to assume that.Samlen wrote:That's just it, saying whether or not you're playing more than one dwarf IS helping scum out. By saying so you are confirming you are a dwarf, and if there's a vanilla townie standard in this game it would be dwarves. So by answering yes you're practically saying i'm vanilla and not worth attacking to the scum, leaving it easier for them to pick off power roles
I would agree with you if we were talking about regular dwarves (though I would expect Thorin to have some powers), but double dwarves could be a special kind of dwarf. And we either have one semi-confirmed townie (could be scum lying also) or important info from Pika. I don't see what's wrong in that.Samlen wrote:That's just it, saying whether or not you're playing more than one dwarf IS helping scum out.
