IT was either MM or H.S. and the last time I voted for MM this time I thought I try H.S. and see what happens.

Believe the reasoning is is because he doesn't post much, and when he does, it's fluff.

I'm just use to it. If a player is consistent with something they do/play, chances are, it's not alignment indicative.

Several of us (myself included) are content to keep our vote on dakky, I know there has been some back and forth but it still appears likely to get a lynch on him. We can't be sure he is being truthful, and if he is what he says he is, he'll be killed before we can use his shot anyway. I'm not convinced he is vigilante.

I'm also not sure why you flip between MM and HS, and your unwavering support of dakky this entire day has been somewhat suspicious (defending him long before we got his claim). That too seems suspicious mitch.

It's been over 24 hours.

We are not really getting this situation resolved as few people are speaking up; it should not be left to the same bunch of people to constantly lead the discussion.

I've honestly been waiting on Dakky to elaborate more, and he's usually vocal throughout games. I'm becoming more and more skeptical as the clock ticks.

I agree that as time passes, it looks more and more like he wants us to explain his behavior for him. In any case, I'd be surprised if he was not acting so scummy on purpose. Because that would be a gigantic slip(s) for an experienced player like him. I already posted too much to explain his behavior and don't want to put more words in his mouth, so I'm not discussing the matter further (especiallly if, and why, he wanted to get lynched) before he explains himself.

I never wanted to get myself lynched to be able to shoot someone, but also I never had a role like this where I can post rubbish and even look like scum because I'd eventually have a chance to kill one of them. Since we learned nothing in D1, voting and unvoting patterns will be the key to who will I target. I also agree we should lynch me today and like Pika suggested make a vote who to kill if you don't want me to pick someone who I think is scummiest. That way a lot of information will come to surface on D3.

So... Let's just say that we think dazza is town. Why are we lynching him? Short and sweet version, please, Pika. (You're also welcome to call me thick and inattentive.)

Then could you help us understand what was the reason you went ham for Thor, despite his confirmed town status? I get that you were questioning whether there was a possible third party scenario going, but it made no sense to go for him instead of trying to pressure anyone else, and that is why we think you were deliberately trying to get yourself lynched.

Taking into consideration the posts on LAL of skoff and pika i lean towards pika reasoning, even if in this community LAL is not widely applied because seems everyone is perfectly ok with townies lying here and there, i will have to adjust and go with the air du temps, still some lies in my eyes are much heavier than others, and in the absence of others slip ups, a bold lie to me still consists a scum tell.

you might be into something here, i dont remember his playstyle so i cant vouch for him, but i take skoff word he is generally unhelpful, making him a low risk player to pressure.

I've been quiet lately but have been "lurking." Just real busy atm and am behind in taking notes, etc... Feel free to call it what you will but wanted to explain my inactivity before someone asked... hoping to catch up this weekend.

Regarding dakky, I've disliked his play since D1. I've felt his pokes have been disingenuous but a few have commented that is part of his meta. I was a bit surprised about the initial pressure on him for D2... I'm sure the vote on Thor helped quite a bit but it seemed a bit more than that... anyway, I plan to re-read the cases against him as some feel weird.

As for his scumminess, I'm not convinced. His overall play would be VERY odd for scum, imo. I don't think sacrificing his scummy self is worth taking out a single townie and that's effectively what he'd be doing. While I discounted initial proposals that we have a jester in the game, it's making more sense to me now. I'm not saying I think he is one, but perhaps Bombur would be a possibility (I think he was pretty much fat comic relief, if I recall correctly)??? Whether he is telling the truth or he's a jester (the top two possibilities in my eyes), he shouldn't be lynched... so I'll be looking elsewhere.

Actually, this is something worth noticing. Yes, I almost always joke vote you, but lately I've changed my approach. You were supporting me the whole game which is a bit a change of meta I have on you. I don't really read your posts, but now when KJ brought it up, yeah, it seems like you were being defensive the whole time. I feel something isn't right there. It's only a hunch but I don't remember when you were so supportive on anyone.

Guess what: unvote, vote madmitch (and this time it's not a joke).

Because thinking is not knowing and if they are town (and therefore telling the truth) we are lynching one of the only town roles it can ever be beneficial for town to lynch. If somebody is pressured to the point of claiming and they claim Vanilla Townie it's better to lynch them to find out than to get an Investigative role to use an action checking because the role is of low value anyway, if the same thing happens but they claim Vengeful Townie instead it's far better to lynch them to find out than to get an Investigative role to use an action checking because lynching them actually gives them access to the only thing that sets them apart from being a Vanilla Townie.

If you would normally lynch a player who claims Vanilla to try and save themselves then you should definitely lynch one who claims Vengeful in the same situation.

I see Jesters being in the game as highly unlikely based on the fact this is an official game if nothing else; a Jester is incredibly easy to win as and including one in a game with a prize fund would be unfair to all involved.

Your particular attempts to get me re-voted have been duly noted, make sure of that.

After a quick re-read tonight, Imma Vote Hotshot, and I made that decision before getting to Flores' vote on him, so that's technically not joining any bandwagon.
Skoffin's points about him Day 1 may have only been semi-serious but they still stand today, and it's looking like he's attempting to stay consciously out of the limelight.

I'm getting major 'all-town' vibes from the debate about dakky and thor. As in I reckon scum were counting on staying silent and hoping town start accusing each other to the point of lynch.

That may not be "alot" Flores for now but they'll be more coming I assure you.

So your reason for voting me is that I'm staying out of the limelight, although I have been posting more than you and have tried to contribute to current events every time I catch up, while you have barely commented on anything? Seems a bit like a OMGUS vote to me.

In truth, I tend to forget about MM even being here until someone mentions his name so I'm going to agree it's a little dodgy trying to throw you under the bus for inactivity when he's more inactive and less contributory.

If we were to lynch dakky I suppose I would not mind if she shot mitch or hotshot.

We still need to hear from moe people. I stuck up for Masket a bit, but now I too am getting cranky at his lack of contribution; I'm eager to hear what he has to say, and to prove that my assessment of him was not incorrect.

Re: The Hobbit Mafia [D2- There is a key](replace needed)

Postby Thorthoth on Fri Sep 29, 2017 9:31 pm

This has become very simple. Any one who is townie (..or wants to try to look like one) needs to get on the dakky lynch.

Let me explain.
1. dakky has said he is on board with the lynch. If he is town that is both a wise and valiant move... but even if he is not, no problem.

Let me explain further.
1.If dakky is vengeful town: We lynch dakky and he takes out a the most likely scum (let's discuss who). We are down 1 town and 1 scum.
2. If dakky is vanilla town: Little rational chance of this outcome.

3. If dakky is vengeful scum: We lynch dakky and he takes out the most likely town, maybe me ... jk. We are down 1 town and 1 scum.
4. If dakky is non-vengeful scum: We lynch dakky. We are down 1 scum.

Anyway you slice it, we are down one scum. and only with option 3 do we lose any town beside dakky.
We can continue to debate this, if needed.... or we can discuss who is scummy enough for dakky's revenge kill.
Also, there is no need to directly give a kill order to dakky, he is a good player and can make his own decision based on the evidence and argument we provide.

And btw, thanks for all the concern about my unfair forum ban.
I'm fine. That's just the price a heroic freedom-fighter such as myself must sometimes pay. Vivo the Bump!

You do realize that there is every chance that dakky hits town and not scum? He has no extra info other than basing off scumtells in thread. Which, at that point, why kill a townie to have them shoot what we see as the scummiest person when we could just lynch them without loosing a townie? Also please stop assuming everyone complaining about you is scum cause that does not help town whatsoever.

1. Can we all just lynch the scummiest person? I don't think we can at this point... but dakky acting as a lone gunman might very well be able to do so.
2.I don't necessarily consider MudPuppy scummy myself.. though maybe? But he does have that reputation among some players. One or two of them voted for him...

But you know who I'm really finding scummy? Flora. Her long posts are full of sabotage and misdirects.

I still don't get it, Pika. To me, it's counter intuitive to lynch someone whom you think is town in order to verify it. Ultimately, mafia is about gut feeling. I think it unwise to go to night in an attempt to check if your town read of someone is accurate because you don't learn anything, and scum gets a kill.

I'd much rather pursue someone I think scum.
