I have gained 1117pts from singles, so I should be in 10th place. No idea what my highest would have been, but a least a couple of hundred on top of that.
Taking an enemy on the battlefield is like a hawk taking a bird. Though it enters into the midst of a thousand of them, it pays no attention to any bird other than the one it has first marked.

Okay guys...

All you have to do is read the post completely !!

And there was not even ANY fine print! Have to keep writing so this will look like vauge underlining

Many problems exisit in trying to create an accurate list of singles only scores with the current scoring system.
In an effort to create a fair representation, without encouraging anyone to manipulate any scoring system, this list has been revamped with 2 changes....

The 1st problem to be addressed was the accuracy of removing team scores. As pointed out earlier in this thread, the higher the ratio of team games the higher the scoring error can be. The solution to this 1st problem is to limit this list to players who focus on singles games, using 88% minimum single games... or no more than 12% being team games.

The 2nd problem was the method of adjusting the score when someone had poor team scores. As pointed out in this thread, intentional team losses would be calculated as point gains in your singles score. The solution to this 2nd problem is to limit the point adjustment to a zero gain effect for the singles score.

Obviously this is not the perfect way to calculate these scores, but it is the best we can do with what we have to work with. There are many who continue to have their fingers crossed that Lack will improve the situation with regards to score calculations in the coming update. I am one of those people.

Scores have been REDUCED to remove any Positive effect from team games...

Well that is just too easy... I simply took the scoreboard, and removed LazarusLong and AndrewB (they have both scored too many points in singles games to be on this list)...

hee hee... close, but you are safe with the leopard robe as long as you stay in your house....
647a is a Vagrant loitering in Public Place (like conquer club)
Didn't know about Van Halen using the 5150 code... did they use it correctly?
The most common usage of 5150 is Mentally disturbed person...
But it could refer to a vehicle that will refuse to yield, due to the driver being a mental case.

lol... Heres the sentence they used it in: 5150

it was their title of the first album with Sammy Hagar.. With all your computing power, that was beyond you??? I cant say as im impressed....but since you havent done your homework...heres the second album with Sammy. He liked numbers....their second with him was titled 0U812.

As far being a vagrant in a public place, I still contend I had every right to be there. I was doing research on the nocturnal flocking habits of pigeons in city areas near park benches. The three bottles of Zima and a strwberry wine cooler were just for the cold. Those cops just had no sense of humor. Where else was I going to go. The station was 5 minutes away....and as I said...i had 4 bottles of Zima and a wine cooler...geez...

originally i used jack daniels...but Zima just seemed to make a funnier story for some reason...for the record I have never, and never will drink a Zima....as far as the wine coolers, what can I say...I grew up in the 80's...

since nobody is going to actually figure my score out, than your list is inaccurate. I hold the most single victories untill somebody comes forward and states they have more. I never played a double/triples game untill I got to about 1,000 games. My first 8 pages of games are all singles. I was a Colonel at that point.

Blitz called me out about the triples and he was correct. He has 24 more victories than me in triples right now. I have a bunch lined up for wins and Im sure by the end of the week I will have that made up.

Johnny, PLEASE stop creating games for just 1 minute, and READ this entire post.
And please take a couple extra minutes to absorb and understand that which is posted in BLUE
.
Thankyou.

Isnt there a computer wizard out there somewhere that can code a greesemonkey addon for this...you can sell it for all i care...almost everyone would kick in another 5 bucks or so for it....do it up....

till then start counting johnny... no one else is going into the 18 pages or more of games you must have.... not mannually....i can almost guarantee it...

and honestly...i am dying to know what my team score is...it cant be too shabby...dug was a general after playing a couple hundred with me, while I hung back and played a bunch of 6 player....

someone please...$10 a pop for the script...i guarantee you $1000* in revenue...get cracking how hard can it be?....oh...and could you install it for me, because I cant figure that crap out worth a damn :D

my guarantee is that if 100 people pay $10 for the script youll get $1000*

All scores were verified between 3/31 and 4/7/07 unless noted otherwise

the bottom line is, dont create and document information and post it if its inaccurate. Would your employer be happy if you handed them a report with wrong information ? I think it was vic that had some kind of spread sheet. Get the information from him and drop in all the information to figure out everyones score.

Johnny, I don't think you would be very happy with those results...
shall we look at what vic said,

vic wrote:I would think that unless you have played less than 20 team games, the error margin on your singles score would be over 5% which is pretty brutal.

To actually get the numbers I would guess all you need is an sql statement on game type.

However, I don't know how the db is setup, if the records don't keep track of points accumulated (instead just one basic score stat that gets updated at end of each game), then your error margin blows up to over 50%

Simply because of the fact that you won a solo game against a player who has basically gotten most of his points playing doubles - your comparison base is flawed in that case...

PS: That is why I setup my stats to only reflect wins/loss ratio, because trying to keep a track of skill levels is inherently flawed...

to which I replied...

Robinette wrote:win/loss ratios are not an accurate guage either...

hopefully you can see the problem between a 6 player std game and the 4-5 player games you prefer with regards to the win/loss ratios.

And of course, there would be even more discrepancy with regards to 3 player games, and with team games, and worse still with games involving only 2 teams. I certainly hope this bit does not need further explaining.

So let me see....

If your signature #'s are correct, you have a 64% win ratio.
By itself that is quite impressive... but it loses something when I calculate that your win/loss average yields you LESS than 1 point per game.
To be more precise, it is less than 27/32 of a point per game. This is 22% lower than the worst score on this list.

To try to simplify this, please consider that it is not just your wins that are counted, but every loss as well. Not to upset you, but this is not about how many games you've played, to which there is no disputing that you are the most prolific.

This paragraph might be worth repeating:

I actually like the idea of looking at the win/loss ratio. It would be very easy to adjust for the # of players in the game. Just divide the win rate for 3 player games in half to get it to the same scale as 6 player games. Divide wins in 4 player games by 1.5 and 5 player games by 1.2 and you will have figured out the person's win% for singles games.
