That gives everyone around 48 hours to get it together

INTO THE DEEP (Day 2)

Postby Razorvich on Thu Mar 14, 2019 7:30 am

The dark has past. The night shadows fade, dawn shadows appear.

It is not safe, evil is entrenched somewhere within the town folk.

During the busy night of activity, some did see a flash of bubbles heading towards the surface
The unmistakable trace of someone travelling FAST... who was it?

With all the movement and action... Who can be sure anyway?

ARE WE ALL HERE? IS EVERYONE O.K.?

--------------------------------------------------------

DAY 2 BEGINS
(New Guys) - Vote counts reset

NOTE:
Those who have discovered their BONUS NIGHT ACTION , you can only wield that power once you have successfully gone for your favorite food during a night.

Good luck, and may the carnage begin

No night kill!

pershy wrote:Actually I’ve been mulling it over some more. Of the votes on me I think tobi and Dakk are misguided town.
Tobi started the train pretty much. I don’t think he’s scum.

Zabeast and others however got on that train. And quite surreptitiously.

Zabeast, bujabbs and Sirius are possible scum being opportunistic.

Note I say possible. Anyway y’all can explore it some more if I die in tonight. Just getting some random thoughts out there while I still can.

With pershy being the only confirmed town, I feel like his instincts and the lynch vote are the best place to start. In addition to pershy’s post, the biggest influencers was Ragian, IMO. Earlier in Day 1, I got strong town vibes from Ragian. However, he strongly wanted a day 1 lynch even after the claim. Mets hammered and Tobi kicked the dead body. I was absent for the end day activity after my L-2 vote. I would have invited based on the claim. A day 1 lynch is nice, but why do it to someone that is essentially a cop by a different name? Makes no sense!

With no night kill, I’m assuming someone had an action that saved someone. If that’s true, might be best not to reveal yourself unless it was jfm/dakky. Don’t need another person revealing themselves at this point. But, the person you saved was probably a townie.

That being said, the night story doesn’t really reveal much. Hard to what happened based on the story. Was hoping for more flavor detail in the story.

Well, I'm bummfuzzled now. I always had a hard time cutting through pershy's amenable, evenhanded approach to the game, particularly when he was scum. But, now it will be impossible to read him. Thought for sure he had slipped out of character, but I was wrong. And, his claim was really flaky...town leech...I've got no instincts going forward. Will have to go back and look at the voters and their words, I guess. I was also surprised that the mods chose a leech as one of the organisms...figured they would all be vertebrates.

Question, based on the mod's words, does every one of us have a night action, even if it's just to try for your favorite food item?

You're poisoned, but not dead? Can you recover? Do you know what poisoned you, creature-wise? Or what type of poison it is?

The difference is that a standard Cop is present in almost every game as one of the primary town roles, while Wiretapper/Tracker is less common and not routinely aligned with a single side. Assuming "invited" was meant to read unvoted, what are you trying to say there? -Anybody can say they would have unvoted, but it doesn't mean all that much now we all know pershy was indeed town.

Yes, I meant unvoted. Sorry, working from a phone all week for this game. I was trying to say that I don’t understand the lynch. Had I been able to get on before the lynch, I would have advocated to not lynch that claim. I’d like to hear the reasoning for those who knowingly stayed on and those who piled on after the claim.

Let me understand you correctly, chappie. You lynch people based on their claims, not based on their behaviour? Is that a correct assessment of your input so far D2?

p

Follow up question on Blacky's poisoning. Assuming it's not a 3rd party, would scum be allowed to collaborate and pick someone to poison or would it have to be an individual scum going after blacky (or possibly both)?

Why would Blacky knowing he was town make a difference on whether he thought wagoners were scum?

Are you role fishing here Ragian? Trying to find out if Blacky knew something the rest of town didn't? IGMEOU...

No, you missed the point completely. You have to see it together with my question directed at chap. I voted Pershy because he played scummily in my opinion. As a town player, I don't have the luxury of knowing who is town and who is scum. So yeah, Blacky knowing Pershy was town would prove that Blacky was scum.

It's common scum tactics to steer clear of town lynches when possible in order to setup another town lynch the following day by pointing fingers at whoever lynched the aforementioned townie.

Moreover, rolefishing is when someone tries to figure out people's role, not alignment. Unless, of course, you're suggesting that I was fishing for him being a day cop and that he investigated Pershy D1. The chances of that, however, I find next to non-existing.

I had no idea that Pershy was town or not. The reason why it was so suspicious was the speed of the train and the way it gathered momentum so quickly... in my mind, the only way it gains such traction if it was full of scum!

And no, I was not told how to get help... the exact words are... "Without intervening medical attention, you will not last past night 2"
I can only assume this means that the doc will have to visit me tonite...

You've announced your need for medical attention. Now it's up to the doc or whoever can protect you during the night.

Do you have any idea who did it? Or why? Were you eating?

Blacky wasn't being discussed for a lynch, this poisoning seems random.

Not so random. I think Blacky is one of the more experienced players. Therefore, if he is town (which I believe), then he would be a prime target.

I don’t play the newbie card, but this is only my 4th game of mafia so I’m pretty inexperienced and would be surprised if I was targeted because I’m a ‘more experienced player’
I think I was prob targeted because of my reaction to the pershy train
