It doesn't look like much, but that can be fixed if it's worth continuing. Here's what I think you should do now...
1. Take a step back and look at the several projects you've tried to begin and focus on the one that has the most promise - which personally I would say isn't DC.
2. Once you've decided which project you want to focus on, come up with a theme that drives the production of the map: monuments of DC, bonsai trees of Japan, tsunami in the Indian Ocean, whatever.
3. Sit down with a pad of paper and work out what YOU want to do with the map and what YOU think would make it unique in game play and in design.
4. Make a rough draft that has the basic elements that you think make the map great.
5. Pitch it to us like you mean it and sell us on why it's a good idea.

If you get to a point where the forum thinks you're really on to something original and interesting, there are a number of photoshop users who can give you a hand with this... but if all you have to bring to the table is a map with territory lines it isn't something I'm going to devote hours of my time to.

Option E. Also, apply some sort of font treatment to your text, I don't know if you can do that in gimp which I see you are using so download the photoshop trial off adobe.com and I'll help you get the key and stuff when you need it.

Hmm... I've been looking at the options, and the text looks exactly the same on every one. Same placement, same size, same font. What exactly is it about the text that we are supposed to be commenting on?

Unit_2

In your 1st post, could you give the forum some idea (at the bottom of your current water poll choices) of what your concept, development, number of terts etc is for this map.

This is standard practice now required as per the How A Map Progresses Through the Foundry...so we can see what ideas etc your have for this map. :)

"text" means written words. You've written at least three times that you want us to comment on "text" including the heading of this thread.

well actually I want it to be more professional...look at the recently quenched maps, they looks cool and are playable...there is something I miss in your maps...try some effects, play with your program, learn everything about it and make it a masterpiece (once gameplay is set  )
